Gotta stop drafting these bleh athletes to rush the passer. Jenkins is a better athlete than mauldin is but his 3 cone again was bad.

They also drafted spectacular athletes like Gholston and Milliner as far as CB's. Jets can't win either way.
Gholston ran a fast 40 and was a shyt athlete otherwise.
I blame our scouting our Front office is flat out shytty. We wasted our first two picks. We drafted a tweener who cant hit or cover. We drafted a Project QB in round two.. I am Fn frustrated

I don't agree. The hack pick was stupid but I think this team is really talented.
It's the coaching and fitz.
Why do you think this team is talented? What part of the game do they excel at?
This team is shyt. Ranked 17th in the league in Offense, 22nd in defense. The only thing they do well is run stop(ranked 2nd), but why would you run on them when they are 31st in pass defense.
The Jets are pieced together through FA's signings and trading picks for players. Literally no successful franchises build their team this way. It shouldnt be surprising this team is old, expensive and underperforming.
Again,I put that on coaching.
Theirs zero adjustments,bad situational play calling,poor schemes,players being used incorrectly. It's a mess.
Those stats are an indictment on the coaching staff,not on the talent level of the roster.
D-Line: Good(it should be, they have a bunch of 1st rounders on it)
LBs: Old(Harris), out of place(Sheldon), unproven(Lee). Mediocre at best
DBs: awful. Revis is shot. Skrine is a nickle corner. Williams is a 4th corner. Safeties are shyt and cant cover.
O-Line: Mediocre
RBs: OK, old. Forte hasn't done much since week 1. Powell needs more touches.
WRs: Good, but iffy hands
QB: beyond awful
ST: Punter is good, Marshall has talent but needs to hold onto the ball

Everything we're doing on defense is compensating for how bad the secondary is. The d-line is the least of our concerns.
Leonard Williams is doing his part, but Mo Wilk is being paid JJ Watt numbers and isn't giving JJ Watt production. It would have been better to let him walk and sign Sheldon for a friendlier deal
Sure we'd like to see the dline getting after it more, but keep in mind it's hard to truly evaluate anyone up there with how bad the secondary has been. Through 5 games the Jets have actually been worse than last years Saints pass defense- which was the worst in league history. If you can't cover at all nothing else really matters.

Hot take - I want to move Pryor to LB.
Pryor can't cover for shyt in the open field/always tries to lay someone out. Disaster for a secondary player, but as a linebacker? Might work out for us. His coverage is good enough for the 5-15 yard LB zone, he's quick, athletic, and can hit. Would be worth a shot IMO.
