The bad drafting and bad contracts have set the team back and this is dating back to Tannenbaum. If you can give me factual evidence on how Fitz and his contract has hurt the team long term I'm all ears. He's off the books next year. The guys listed are not.

Geno isnt good and the idea that there's untapped potential there is laughable. He coulsnt start last year anyways considering he got punched in the face.

Fitzpatrick playing this year has zero to do with the Jets need to rebuild....I told you that when Idzik has here. His approach is the way to go...his execution sucked but Mac's has been even worse considering his two drafts suck too.

All of the contracts handed out to the secondary were bad. You build through the draft...but hey, blame Idzik.

Once again, it's OK if you thought there was nothing to gain by starting Geno, but there WAS, good or bad. It behooved the Jets to find out. There was nothing to gain by bringing Fitz back because the season was DOA before it started. I get the Jets can't operate like that but the writing was on the wall.
If Milliner wasn't the worst draft pick of the last 15-20 years this side of Kyle Brady /Vernon Gholston, Idzik would still be here. If he hit on McDougle, he'd be here. If Amaro was our Tyler Eifert, he'd be here. If Geno panned out, he'd definitely be here. Tearing it down was not the problem, even in a city that hates rebuilding. Not spending is the same as not caring in the NFL, especially when a team like the Jets had a floor to reach.

Idzik TRIED to build his secondary through the draft. He FAILED. Repeat after me. He failed. The intent doesn't mean anything if the results aren't there. Most of all, Idzik's personality made it real easy to want him gone, the same way Bowles' personality is causing everyone to want the same from him.

Fitz has been a loser his entire career. He's still a loser.

Any team or fan thinking fitz can get it done after 12 seasons of showing you who he is deserves this.

Idzik drafted poorly. Maccagnan drafts poorly and doesn't understand the value of draft picks.
