First year, I officially started listening to rap music. I was 14.

By officially, I mean as far as buying albums.

Later on in the year, I ended up buying Guerilla Warfare.

As you can see, my first entry in rap was great.

1999 was a great year. Was 12 turning 13. Rap was at an all time high.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't supreme clientele supposed to have dropped in 99? It was delayed like dangelos album and mobb deeps. Beans too.

Crazy thing is Nas dropped twice too. A lot of people dropped albums. Diddy sadly wasn't running the show too and Jay dropped Vol 3.

This thread got me going back and looking at videos from that time period...its funny to see the kids now dress a lot like how we were back in those days.

We all had these in Highschool (the next year every fake baller had one of those loud ass Nextels to do the walkie talkie shyt)

This was my shyt too...for some reason they didnt catch on like that.
The video also reminded me of the off color baseball jerseys and jackets we were rocking (I had a red Yankees jersey).
