Its a very good album but Hit Boy’s bars are kind of basic. NOT wack but they don’t really stay with you after you’ve heard the song.

I knew after hearing the production though that he was going to give Nas some FIRE beats

Check out Hit-Boy’s solo project from January. He raps on most of it, produces all of it, and there are some dope features like Benny on All Business.

It’s only 25 minutes. Oh and he has a project he produced for Benny dropping on September 5th.

I was hating on the news that hitboy was producing the whole thing without me really doing the knowledge and I own up to that. For some reason in my mind I had him down as a Boi1da Drake type new style generic shyt

Bro from that thread told me yo u need to hear this album before u make ur decision already. Not gonna lie I heard that project and it put me at ease.

Turns out my man did his thing on this album. I love how his signature is the crunchy kick and snare... It says alot about a producer when u can tell their style from how their drum sounds

I knew it would be a good match but I didn't expect it to be THIS good. He's always had hard drums, even on his trap shyt and I've long felt that type of shyt lends itself to Nas' style more than anything. Yet even the more traditional trap drums on King's Disease don't throw Nas' flow off at all. He murders it beginning to end.

At this point, not counting his next album which allegedly is gonna be another project with one producer...I need Hit Boy on every Nas album. Same way I need No ID.

Good looks on the thread, didn't even know he raps.
I didn’t either breh. I heard the album because I’d heard the Benny verse. Then I was like :leon:hit-boy is a dope producer-rapper.

I don’t think his name has done him a ton of favors. The name is kinda corny. But whatever. I’m a fan now.

Yo you aren’t alone. A lot of people hated on the news. He’s so famous for the Paris beat which is mad light. And his name is kinda tacky on some “I’m this young kid that makes hits.”

I dunno. only reason I didn’t hate the news and was actually excited is because I heard the project earlier this year and been peeping his upcoming work with Conway and Benny. I’m gonna @ you when Conway drops that Fear God song. Beat is immaculate.

This is what Boi1Da did for Nas.

shyt sound like it could fit right in with first Lost Tapes. This is why u can’t look at names and assume shyt.

Peeped that Hit-Boy album way back, and it’s the main thing that had me hopeful for Nas’ album (haven’t listened to it yet)

Good looks on this link. I gotta admit I slept on Hit-Boy. When he did that joint for Pusha off “Fear of God” (can’t remember the title), I was FLIPPING OUT. Then he came with that “N!ggaz from Paris” sh*t and I fronted on him. I hated that song. But then he came with joints like…

it had me like YOOOOOO… that was on some Wu sh*t. He straddles the line perfectly between old school and new school. But I prefer his sampled sh*t because he’s so damn good at it.
