Were there many Indians in Brixton at that time?
Not EVERY Person who participated in the brixton riots was actually from brixton.
Radical blacks in London were basically the black panthers. You heard of indian panthers?
This is surprising?
Cute Indian chick
UK brehs correct me but Pakistanis and not Indians were the ones catching flack over there right? I've heard the term Paki bashing more than a few times on this side of the pond via movies. The Tim Roth skinhead flick comes to mind, Made in Britain. Good flick by the way brehs. Like a more realist version of American History X.
The pic below does indicate some other folks, but it was still largely Black resistance.
White racists use the term "Paki" as a catch all term for all South Asians as most are too dense to differentiate between Pakistanis & Indians
That bytch shoulda got hit with football numbers.. but got out after what 2-3 yrs
Sad it's coming down to this.
UK nikkas lost

BLACK used to include Brits of South Asian descent as well as those of African descent.
In the era of this show, especially with a radical political movement, Indians were often still referred to/referred to themselves as BLACK.
In this historical context they are completely correct. People who are older or made any cursory look at the the topic would know...like...middle-aged Black Brits or perhaps someone researching for a script for a historical drama
Character is named Jas Mitra
