If the Mad King drops bombs over King's Landing, his ass is getting fried too. Jamie even said the King was ready to get fricasseed himself. Jaime wasn't about that barbecue life. I think it's flawed to think of any character in this show as being completely good or bad though.
This, with a few exceptions. There are some characters on here with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. But mostly it goes back to that question Varys asked Tyrion about the King, the Septon, and the Rich Man. It's all about what folks motivation is and what they're truly loyal to.
