I don't know about the circumstances or laws in his state. Where I'm at, landlords are forbidden from raising rent more than 3% year to year I believe .

His rent has increased more than 100%. This shyt can't be legal.

I know for a fact that if your home was built after 1995, there is no rent control. There are other parameters as well.
