No, because they align with immigrants and not 'black.'Valid, but a black person properly thinking will understand the detriment of NON BLACK IMMIGRANTS coming into the country

Why is FBA trying to tell Africans what to do? Why you trying to play massa?
That doesn't jive with what you said earlier:Simple, the vote is a feel good measure that has no power. That is why my first post was not about it. If you think the vote, that the vast majority of the Western Powers voted against or abstained from voting on,m will have any affect on any outcome, then I personally suggest you dig deeper on understanding just how powerless the UN actually is. So the vote is of no importance to me, because the vote will not change anything.
So the truth is, this vote changes nothing for us at all. Until the Global South actually has the power to affect the Western Powers, votes in the UN supported by only the Global South are inconsequential.
AightNo
I never expect America to agree to pay reparations until FBAs get more political leverage.
You're right, yet there's a fuss made over something ADOS has zero interest in. The UN is some might as well have been some fantasy shyt and now look. LackinAre you quite well? The UN ain't gon do shyt. They can't even stop them from genociding the Palestinians.
the woman couldnt even finish college. No, because they align with immigrants and not 'black.'
We already know. The topic of the thread should be why America (particularly White folks), Argentina, Israel, and pretty much all of Europe (pretty much all of CAC society worldwide) opposed recognizing slavery as humanity's gravest crime...
Instead, it's devolved into a conversation about Ghana “this and that”, making them out to be the villain in this situation when they're actually the ally trying to help Black Americans, as well as calling out America's everlasting moral hypocrisy.

Yes, I know I have ancestors who did. I also have a lot more ancestors who did not, using your own logic.Yes they did, we are also not going to act like they were the majority. They were a very tiny minority who had the advantage of superior weaponry.
The descendants of those captured far outnumber the descendants of those doing the capturing on the continent.
I would also like to remind you that some of those who captured others also ended up on the slave ships as well when the tide turn against them. You probably have ancestors who captured people as well.![]()
Who is you? You telling me I sold slaves because I'm African?Y'all are some pathetic ass tethers.
Begging for reparations when you sold the slaves.
STFU. This is the second time African tried to claim, or finagle their way into, our shyt. We not having it. We will push back against any incursion. They sold us once and it's not happening again, foh. You're right, yet there's a fuss made over something ADOS has zero interest in. The UN is some might as well have been some fantasy shyt and now look. Lackin![]()
How do you know my African ancestors weren't captured and sold off?

Please, show me how it contradicts what I said earlier? Take your time with it.That doesn't jive with what you said earlier:
I'm pretty sure the current president of Ghana is not of royal lineage. Also, being of royal lineage doesn't automatically mean your ancestors sold slaves. There were kings and queens who fought against slavery.Yes, I know I have ancestors who did. I also have a lot more ancestors who did not, using your own logic.
Still, my problem is the slave traders were in leadership positions. They were not rogue elements on the continent commiting barbarity, they were attached to official governments. So I do not want the descendents who were not enslaved making reparation deals for my people who are the descendents of the enslaved. It is pretty much my single position point on this. If they want to argue for themselves, so be it. I don't want them arguing for us.
Who did they sell your ancestors to? Are your people from some other part of the diaspora? I ask, because if you migrated here from the continent, or your parents did, then at best you were enslaved by your own on the continent. Your grievance would be with the very nations that participated in the internal slave trade.Who is you? You telling me I sold slaves because I'm African? How do you know my African ancestors weren't captured and sold off?
I don't care what his ancestry is. He is not of my ethnicity. What I find interesting is that you are trying to plead for allowing the Ghanaian president to speak on our issues, while also admonishing some Black Americans on who are we to speak on African issues. Do you not see the irony and hypocrisy in that action?I'm pretty sure the current president of Ghana is not of royal lineage. Also, being of royal lineage doesn't automatically mean your ancestors sold slaves. There were kings and queens who fought against slavery.
He is not making reparations deal for your people in America, he is asking for reparations on behalf of families and descendants of slaves currently in Ghana.
Who exactly are you talking about and where did he say that?descendants of slaves currently in Ghana.
