My nikka, I'm a hip hop head. I'm not some newbie in this hip hop shyt. Truss....
Agreed.Production is beautiful, BBNG sound is a bit fuller and more fleshed out than Adrian Yonge's.
Hard to tell if its a new verse or not.Doom sounding rejuvenated on Ray Gun![]()

How did you find the site?
Welcome breh.bruh, I've been lurking this site for a few years now. I always like to know what people think about certain hip hop releases, even if I'm not fukking with the album/artist. . So I'll google stuff and usually, this site will come up. After Kanyetothe and boxden. I would always read some forum on Kanyetothe or boxden, but eventually I got fed up. Them nikkas don't know shyt! Their thoughts aren't fully fleshed out and it's too many dikkriders.
Compared to thecoli... I'll notice certain comments by people and I'm like: 'oh... this person knows wassup. They've been listening to hip hop for a while and thinking about it.' Even if I disagree, there's more rational discussion. So yesterday, it occurred to me: Why don't I join this shyt?!

Welcome breh.
I used to lurk KTT from time to time because their Album threads always have more activity and updates, but eventually I realized 90% of the posts are trollage or dikkridery. Im willing to deal with the Coli's constant racebaiting because we have the overall quality, less lame humor and ORIGINAL perspectives

Fishscale to me is when Ghost started rhyming on less 'active' beats in the hopes of being more 'straightforward' in the storytelling department. E.g. Beauty Jackson (which is a decent cut, no doubt) or "Shakey Dog" (which I never cared for) or "Whip You With A Strap" (again, never cared for this). It feels like Ghost just started rapping over old records with little-to-no manipulation on them in the beat department. And then it went from there to... well, lemme get someone who can actually play this stuff live.
Compare "Shakey Dog" or "Kilo" to "One" and "Child's Play". Supreme Clientele's way more active, playful, bouncier, grittier.... I miss that. To me, that's Ghostface at his finest.
It's like Ghostface is stuck in this 'smoky jazz lounge' 70s Blaxploiltation mode and has been there since 12 Reasons. I know there's always been elements of 70s shyt in Ghostface (and Wu in general) but it was rawer back then and they really took it beyond the old records. Whereas now I feel like Ghost is regressing. This is the 3rd album in a row that has this mellow, bland live instrumentation vibe, and I'm not fukking with it.
Where are those beautiful wyl out beats?!
I could be wrong. by all means educate a brotha. I'm just thinking out loud.
