Ghost sounds great on this :wow:

Thank you. I can never understand how ANYONE can say sly sh!t about what Ghost been doing these past 2 years. On the low it's one of the most brilliant MC runs I've seen in awhile. AND he hasn't dropped an album that is REALLY his child since Wizard of Poetry. The last 2 weren't and this one ain't either. He's being given other people's beats, concepts, plots and stories and STILL churning out dope, critically acclaimed albums. What do y'all n!ggas want? Just sit back, relax and enjoy the sh!t. ALWAYS complaining. Last real Ghost brainchild was Wizard of Poetry. He had dope raps, dope beats, buncha energy and upbeat tracks and n!ggas sh!t on that also. Smh.

Aite, Sir B!tch. Last official Ghost album he was rhyming on upbeat tracks, n!ggas unfairly sh!t on it (Wizard of Poetry).

My dude, I feel you. That's exactly what happened. And I understand why.

a) It wasn't a good album. The beats were mostly lackluster. A couple were good. Nothing mindlblowing (which is a shame, because Ghost tends to have mindblowing beats). My favorite beat (and track) on the entire album is "Stay". That Dreamgirls DVD line always slays me. nikkas know - a lot of times you gotta treat your girl to a leg rub and watch some bullshyt you don't really wanna watch but it entertains her.

The second best beat was "Baby". But Ghost fukked it up by having that idiot Raheem autotune on it. fukking ruined it. And this was a time when nikkas were hating on autotune (as they should). Jay-Z had just released Death of Autotune, and Ghost decides to put it on his shyt?! For the first time?! Who signed off on that shyt?!

b) nikkas are afraid to be tender. You can only be tender about crackspots, bustin guns, your crew, fukking chicks and loving your mom. But if you wanna have a baby with a girl, it's like: 'fukk that! That's soft.' Even Ghost can't get away with that shyt. Remember the word when you heard Ghost was doing an RnB album? nikkas around me were like: "fukk that!!" They hated the very idea of that album before it even dropped. So it was on some uphill shyt from jump. And unless you drop a strong album to counteract that, nikkas are goin shyt on it.

A) I strongly disagree. It was a very good album with solid beats and Ghost killed his verses.

B) Ghost in his 40's and wanted to make an album about the dynamic between grown men and women. How can anyone knock that if it was executed well? All that afraid to be mushy sh!t is silly. He basically tackled the album like he usually tackles songs about women. Never Be The Same Again, Wildflower, and Back Like That would fit comfortably on Wizard of Poetry. Cot Damn Stapleton Sex was on there! It's not like Ghost got his Drake on. It was grown man music.

I'm sure Ghost killed his verses, but I'm a beat head. Trust me, I love a hip hop quotable like anyone else. But if your beat isn't on point, I skip. I may come back to the track later depending on how well you write and if I give a fukk.

There's a huge difference between solid and "crazy".

It is silly. But I'm telling you what I heard around my way.

Despite my dislike for Wizard, I'll take it over any Ghost album since then.

bruh, I've been lurking this site for a few years now. I always like to know what people think about certain hip hop releases, even if I'm not fukking with the album/artist. . So I'll google stuff and usually, this site will come up. After Kanyetothe and boxden. I would always read some forum on Kanyetothe or boxden, but eventually I got fed up. Them nikkas don't know shyt! Their thoughts aren't fully fleshed out and it's too many dikkriders.

Compared to thecoli... I'll notice certain comments by people and I'm like: 'oh... this person knows wassup. They've been listening to hip hop for a while and thinking about it.' Even if I disagree, there's more rational discussion. So yesterday, it occurred to me: Why don't I join this shyt?!

here I am

Welcome to the coli. You ever need to talk to a mod you talk to @hustlemania first. @SoulController, you think about him before you post a troll thread in the booth, because if you do he'll snatch your nuts out and use them for dice. @FreshAIG handles classic rap for the old school crowd. You need old kid capri mixtape he'll find it for you or die trying, he's a good man.:myman:

Listening now, this shyt is dope. BBNG bringing it like I thought they would, and Ghost sounds energized. I agree it's not Ghost at his absolute best but dude is still dropping gems. My only complaint so far is that these recent projects have kinda been so structured that we don't get much of funny Tone. Really like Tone's Rap tho, that shyt is perfect. BTW the bass on this album is GREAT.

I saw BBNG live a few years ago, they're dope.

I'd love for a rapper to get in the studio with them and record live. From what I understand this Ghost album was done through emails. It's dope so far but man, I wish Ghost was in there to say "aite I want a breakbeat right here" and other suggestions.

Thank you sir!

so how does this reputation/daps/neg thing work?

Real simple. You like what a nikka say, dap him. You rep him if you really like what he says. A nikka say some shyt that offends you or comes at you the wrong way, you neg him. It's all bullshyt at the end of the day. But it does help you spot the trolls and fukk nikkas.
