It's hard to admit, but Ghost is burned out. He's not on his vivid, colorful "Supreme Clientele"-shyt no more, which GOAT'ed him for me. He should put the mic down and call it a career.

I rather listen to Roc Marciano and Ka.
:what:With fans like you Nikkas who the fukk needs haters. Supreme Clientele was 15 years ago. Go listen to Roc Marciano and ka and get all the way the fukk outta here.:camby: You and that other Nikka :camby:

I honestly can't think of any artist in any genre, who maintained the same level of quality they had at their peak, over 20 years. We're lucky that Ghost is dope as he is as this point and still experimenting to a degree. Especially when your greatest years were wildly creative and drug-induced. Supreme Clientele was a reflection of his mind at that time, even his work on The W album... Most artists either die or start doing some adult contemporary shyt. It's obvious that Ghost is older and less wild... He might literally be a grandpa at this point. To say "he's not even trying anymore" is ridiculous. He's 20 years in! Who else from his era is still experimenting and dropping projects consistently??

Nas still has the verses, but his catalog aint seeing Ghost lets be real. Snoop plateau'd ages ago. Jay is literally not trying and coasting off his accomplishments n signees. 3000 drops maybe a verse a year. The other Wu brothers dont have the same catalogs at all. Where's Redman? Dudes like Kool G Rap and Black Thought still sound sharp, but they also never peaked like Ghost did. Common is still out there, but his focus is on acting. Prodigy dropped an ill album with Albert Einstein, but he was dropping frisbees before that. Fat Joe is a joke. Juicy J is a pop star. The list goes on...

Where are all the 90s rock bands? The RnB stars from that era? Mary J and R Kelly still at it, but fukk, they worse than Ghost is now by far. Everyone else is on VH1 selling out, or completely irrelevant

Ghost is a living legend man

And what's funny about this small faction of "Ghost is over" dudes that slither into every Ghost thread is that they seem to act like every damn album he's dropped isn't getting critical praise. Every one. This one for instance has been reviewed heavily and you probably can find only 2 or 3 that doesn't love it. And even those 2 or 3 are mildly sh!ttin on the album. And let's not forget that none of these past 3 albums ARE really his projects. Collabs that was the brainchild of several other people other than Ghost.

Its scorned fans. Dude even admitted it himself. I can relate to a degree. I definitely wish Ghost would obliterate a track like he did on Impossible, but hes older now.

I resent Jay for falling the fukk off creatively and piggybacking off young talent when hes a natural MC. I resent Eminem for selling the fukk out when hes as gifted as it gets. I resent 3 Stacks for giving up and leaving us hanging for so long.

I cant resent Ghost though, cause he keeps us fed. Hes ACTUALLY trying even though his energy and voice aged for the worse. I know he has a few more albums in the tank before he closes out possibly the greatest catalog in rap history

This is a lot better than wu block or anything that came after. He def spit on this.
I think he's spitting better on this than he had on 36 and 12 reasons, but I'm still not satisfied. I'm a Ghostface STAN. I know an artist can't sustain greatness on every album, but this is the 4th straight album of his (wu block, 12 reasons, 36 and now Sour Soul) that has disappointed me. Honestly I'll probably buy this shyt anyway, but damn if I'm not really upset about ghost's skill declining. I mean his energy and creativity ijst aren't there anymore.
