I don't understand all the hate for 12 Reasons to Die, but at the same time I think I know why people be hating on these live instrumentation/more "musical" albums. Its people downloading/streaming poor quality mp3 versions of the albums and listening to them on their iphones through stock apple earbuds and shyt. Real music with dynamics, image, and depth to it needs to be listened to in AT LEAST CD quality through good headphones or a good system, and through a source with a quality digital to analogue converter (DAC). Most laptops/tablets/cell phones/ipods have inferior digital to analogue conversion and require and external DAC to begin with, throw a poor quality version of the recording and shytty headphones/speakers on top of that and of course "real" music will sound like shyt. Beats made with FL Studio that are overly compressed to make them loud and consist of mostly computer generated electronic synths and bass lines can still sound similar to CD quality in the abovementioned scenario and wont suffer as much.
The thing is, I know there are people who love music on here and if they were to experience quality recordings through better listening methods they would absolutely notice the difference and start appreciating albums like 12 RTD, 8 Diagrams, A Better Tomorrow, 36 seasons etc. The problem is, much like myself only like a year ago, they just don't know any better
Sorry for coming off as an elitist..........
