i don't really have an opinion about homosexuality in general. Doesn't affect my life and I'm the one that's raising my little one ..I'll teach him the morals and standards past down from my father and so on.. I turned out pretty good! When it comes down to it, no parent has any influence on their offspring sexual preference. If my son likes dudes, I'll be devestated.. I won't blame myself though. I'll do my best and hope for the best.

Only Mr. Caldwell truly knows his heart (and penis). The journey to hetereosexuality and socially defined gender roles (or mannerisms) may be tough, but if he adamant, stays focused, gets counsel and has a support system he will persevere. Really the same as Malcolm X's rebuke of his brand of white acceptance and integrationism
Instead of talking about black self sufficiency, arguing for simply legal egalitarianism, but maintaining black independence economically and educationally, the Rustins of the world rejected this because they didn't get the white love and acceptance they wanted.
That need for white acceptance in all factors of life, is built off and feeds into the concept of white supremacy and black inferiority. So to me the integrationist argument was an inherent white supremacist argument.
Never really looked at Baldwin, but looking at his stances compared to Malcolm in the video posted below, I would say he would be in the same camp as Rustin.
