is the bay the epitome of ..... they stay accusing everyone of jacking this n dat yet its 2013 and the bay area which consist of multiple large populated cities whose posters on here always have a opinion on the state of everybody elses regional rap scene consists of big cities OAKLAND ,SAN FRANCISCO ,AND SACRAMENTO is so collectively weak I cant name not one damn nationally relevent rapper or bay area artist selling any records right now in 2013 or any year since god knows the fuk when

The bay aint never been with that pop/white people mainstream rap (exept for Hammer) The bay has been setting trends and creating our own culture and feeding the masses with the shyt that we come up with. We keep the clubs rockin, the parties lit, the sideshows yankin, nikkaz goin stupid on the turf out here. and then we got lames tryin shyt on the bay like "yall aint got no platinum artists, yall aint got no relevance"

And i see u just ignored the whole point of the thread..and its the reason why The Bay stays irrelevent...bay nikkas CHOOSE to stay local...they NEVER want to expand ..they are comfortable being number 1 in their local radio station instead of being number 1 on Billboard. They rather play in the minor leagues then in the major leagues..and it's a damn shame..

E-40 and Too Short are the only 2 legends in the bay that STILL make slappers even at their age..but they know they can't do it forever..which is why we need a rap artist that is the perfect balance too cross over and have eyes on the bay the same way K. Dot had people look at LA again...or how Big Sean reps Detroit, etc...

As for the South..yes u can say they "stole" the trends Bay artist set, but they perfected it..and they made MORE money from it...Bay nikkas are just mad they couldn't do it better....it's the truth..

I want to see the Bay blow up in music just as much as anybody..but you gotta face the reality of it...it won't happen if Bay artist keep having that mentality.

And it also won't work if Bay nikkas keep living in this imaginary world where they THINK they are relevant

The nation has stolen the bays sound and thats fine. The bay is full of trendsetters, once the current sound gets played out the bay will create a new sound that will get swagger jacked. Yall may not want to give us full credit now but history will show who is influencing the airwaves and thats all that matters. BTW Sage The Gemini was not a one hit wonder, he had Rednose and Gas Pedal, the verdict is still out on his career, IAMSU has potential as well.
