Its not the same because defense is more important than offense from that position...We dont need either to be great offensively cuz our backcourt handles most of the scoring,we just need one to be capable at protecting the basket and capable is not what Valanciunas is...

If you think that its a trade off and even for one to be mediocre offensively and one to be much better defensively than you dont know shyt about basketball...

I would rather have the better defender than the above average scorer,and lets not fool ourselves Jonas isnt an oother wordly scoring 5 hes above average...its only the same scenario if JV was an elite offensive C which he isnt even close too being so no ill take the better rim protector...

biyombo is by far NOT an above average scorer. In fact you can say he is below average.
JV is above average on offense. And about average on defense.

But regardless, this isn't about one OR the other, because I think that together they compliment each other very well. I'd like to keep them both.


In the playoffs when the opposing teams focus their defense on derozans and Lowry we will be thankful to have JV there to provide extra offence

Also, like I said, the defensive issues are largely on the outside, not on the inside.

So do you consider bb to be an elite all around defender? I don't. I mean he's an above average one for sure. And very quick and athletic but elite? Naw.

You cant have them both because of cap restriction...You will have to pick one or the other.
I will be thankful in the final 5 mins when i wont have to watch Val trying to defend pick and rolls or make head scratching coverage decisions in space...because he will be on the bench...

Bb basically has the same stats as last year. He's nothing on offense. I don't see him going for that much.

In a small ball world no one is throwing the bank at him. He'll be lucky to get 6-8 mil/year.

When teams tighten up in the playoffs, both of these guys will be a factor cuz our backcourt will be focused on so much

He will get more than 8 mil..Amir Johnson got 10...Biyombo will get minimum the same per year...

Yeah I'm at the game. I go to most of the home games, got season tickets.

C's have come out strong to start the half and derozan can't stop turning it over going nowhere.
