What muggings can teach you:

- your life isn't special.

- you can be touched, no matter what.

- other people can force themselves into your personal experience even if you mind your business.

- when shyt is happening to you it won't be anything like the countless times you've observed it happening to someone else. the first time it happens to you is like :whoa:

- it can happen on the most random possible day when violence is the furthest thing from your mind.

It's profound. It's the whole aspect of it being YOU (yes, YOU reading this right now. even YOU can get got). Randoms will bring it to you whether you're prepared or not. All the respect you have in your personal life amongst people you know, your reputation, your personal and intimate moments, the fact that you're a real person with feelings: none of that matters and you are nothing to so many other people.

The experience is like the best and worst thing that can happen to you. “The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.” Because if you used to think shyt couldn't happen to you, :demonic: out there will show you the true nature of life. And you'll actually be better off for it.

So hard to do it justice with words...

Yeah man....I'm no stranger to any of it, fights, shootings, people getting pulled out the car in traffic, all sorts of drama and bullshyt..but when my house got hit, I was stuck, I felt like I was dreaming when I saw the broken glass littered all over the carpet and almost slapped myself to wake myself up, it was that surreal. That's when you know it's bad, when you go into shock...only two times in my life have I felt that sensation.

Another one: in high school my boy and I are running around hustling, all day on it after school in the whip, run into some kid we know, gets the #, calls for a zip, we go in the deserted parking lot in suburban dead zone, behind a Rite Aid. 4 of us sitting in the car, I'm the only watching someone walk up to the ride, pulling on a hoody, I'm all high, stuck on slow motion, dude just walks up, opens the door, 'wheres the weed'? and hits my boy in the face, going under his seat at the same time. Dude got pulled in the car, and hit with fists and feet for at least a few seconds, car screeched off, my boy tried to hit him with the car lol....my boys talked shyt cuz the whole time I was just stuck, not like they really put work in on him, one of them just kicked from the backseat, cuz he was short :laff: like a little leprechaun or something

Wow this is a powerful post remind me to rep you later.

Nah you summed up a lot i can't lie is is a humbling experience and what you said about it being a random day is right that day was my pay day and i was happy as fukk that day literally on top and that shyt happened :snoop:

and the '- other people can force themselves into your personal experience even if you mind your business. ' :whoo:

that's still something im coming to terms with cos i always get pissed when I read stories of people just minding their business and get shot or kiled over some dumb shyt.

its an ego thing though none of us want to accept that we can get 'got' and at some point our life might be at the mercy of someone else

not a easy pill to swallow :whoo:

nikka you let them cable folks just chill in your room nonchalant ?!
Every time i have repairs over when its in a bedroom I never leave them nikkas for a second

you let that nikka just free in your crib.

:wtf:

I jus measured and my room is literally 3 1/2 steps from the living room couch...I was jus sittin there sleepy as fukk tryin to stay up, and dozed off...nikka prolly peeked out the room and went to town....again idk if that's how it went missing but its the only thing I can think of

I been robbed twice at gun point...

First time I was caught slippin got set up by some bytch ass nikkaz who took me to the wrong hood... As I was leavin' with the bytch ass nikkaz some nikka ran up from behind n grabbed my jacket, he was actually tryina bring me down, but i slipped out my jacket turned around n nikkaz was pullin they tools out, I started runnin like a cheetah... I heard gunshots but thank God I made it that day... Them bytch ass nikkaz who set me up was ghost after that incident, so I had to jump the otha bytch nikka who introduced me to them...

The second time I was outta town, walkin back to my aunts crib late at like 2 am and two nikkaz came outta nowhere with the burners, they took my phone n my cash... I actually talked them into givin me my wallet back after takin the cash...

I carry a burner n a ak in the trunk eva since... I aint lettin that shyt happen to me again...

as a kid..i got my blue and white huffy bike stolen out my garage as i was taking a nap...would have never known where it went if it wasnt for my neighbor at the top of my cul de sac who stayed peering out the window...it was a kid from my neighbors cookout or whatever...so after talking to them about where it could have went..me and my father hopped in the car and went there...i saw dude on my bike with his bike to me...i had started boxing around that time too...the beating i gave that mufukka was :demonic:

as an adult nope *knock on wood*..i get paranoid at the thought though....i live on the first floor of my complex so keeping my windows and shyt open when im not here is a no no...i recently took pics and a video of all my stuff for insurance purposes just in case...if im ever robbed and i catch them in the act and they have no weapon..they will not be leaving under their own power..thats for damn sure

From the Bay to Central CA
Both. When I was robbed I was drunk outside of a hotel I was partying at getting chaser from the vending machine. These 3 mexican dudes were there, one giving me the :wtb: look when I walked by the first time looking for the machine, gave him a :ehh: back. Walked past him on the way back and got snuck, then 3 of his friends came up and put the beats on me :whew:

Joke was on them I only had 3 dollars in my wallet and like .78 cents on my bank card at the time :umad:

Got my house broken into by my exgirlfriends (at the time) new boyfriend. She texted me asking if I was at work, and my dumb ass not realizing she was feeling out if I were home or not, told her yes. At the time i was like :jawalrus: she's trying to get her optimo fix... But she knew my window didnt lock, and where I kept my money at my crib and all that. Jokes on them too, I didn't have any cash at my house and dude ended up p*ssying out and only stole my laptop which requires a password to get into :umad: ended up getting that shyt back too.

:manny: lucky enough that's it
