it changed my whole perspective.......cause I realized the BOTTOM LINE is all that matters to "these people" ...they weren't threatned by this kinda music, so that whole CONSPIRACY TALK about LABELS having meetings to shut down PRO BLACK AND CONSCIOUS MUSIC just really doesn't have any validation.....P.E made DEF JAM/CBS money...they sold well.......their catalog is amazing.....even with all that tension THEY DIDN'T GET DROPPED!!
unlike KMD whose controversial debut album cover which they were forced to change...but eventually got dropped because that LP simply DIDN'T ship enough units before it's debut week....to give the label Elecktra the same label as BRAND NUBIANS the incentive to keep them...so they were RELEASED...and I do mean RELEASED...the label gave them THIER MASTERS and 5 figures and told them to GO!
