I feel like he does it to spark debate/conversation for the most part so I don't have an issue but yeah, you can't claim Hip Hop is dying then write a thesis on Lil B.
Again, no real problem with Lil B but he embodies more of the newage Hip Hop culture/heads than he does some purist/golden era head.

This is where the Lil B / Rocky hate comes from: traditionalists.
In some ways I'm a purist, but I also love innovation. As I've said here, I was the kid who grew up loving both Premo and Timbaland. Purity is about honest and interesting expression, not traditionalism.
Dudes like bboy rambler and Homotional will never get it. The greatest hip hop was never made for people like them. Lil B and Rocky are straight up some of the realest in modern rap, and unreal can't recognize real
