I say fukk Noel because people have these high standards for the dude when he is garbage. He hasn't improve but actually declined since he played first year and that's only two years in. Simmons need a scorer on the court and having Okafor will make him better. I don't understand why Brett Brown wants to run shyt don't win unless you have a team of shooters

I'll add my two cents on the Noel/Okafor debate and say I'm more willing to move Noel only because his contract is coming up and I'm not willing to over pay just to keep him.

I see a lot of people use that same argument that bigs like Okafor typically don't win which is correct, however guys like Tyson Chandler who are defensive juggernauts and efficient rebounders but lack offensive punch don't win either unless in the right situation. As for Noel he's not quite Triston, Chandler,or even Byombo because he's not a great rebounder. He's better than Oak or anyone else right now for that matter but he's not a great rebounder by any means. He's solid yes but that's about it currently.

Thing with Oak is he'll probably never be a great defender but he can improve his effort for both rebounding and his defense were he's not such a liability. The guy is only 20 he has plenty of time to improve.

If Embiid can remain healthy he'll make both expendable. In college he was a rim protector, showed incredible footwork in the post, and he can stretch the floor. I'd ultimately not trade either unless we can get somebody like Devin Booker in return that isn't happening so see who works better with Embiid, Simmons, and Saric then move from there.

Noel doesn't need the ball to be productive and can play in almost any lineup. With Okafor you kinda have to build the team around him with a 4 out 1 in offense which our roster doesn't currently suit us for :yeshrug:

I agree however I do believe that Jah will improve and an honest question needs to be asked who will get buckets. Jah will get buckets and he will improve upon his rebounding and defense but will never been a lockdown post defender. If the 76ers can bring in more shooting on the wing and at pg having Jah will not be an issue as Simmons is also a strong rebounder.

Simmons should be getting boards, agree.. but he will be pushing the ball up the court off the board, what good will unathletic okafor dragging behind do for the team though. Also, you under utilize simmons when if you just putting it into the post with okafor. Simmons is best in the half court when he goes to the hoop and kicks it out or can get it to a slasher. I dont think okafor is good for a catch and layup/dunk as noel, so thats a wash.... All Okafor would be good for a simmons offense is he is okay for a mid range jumper, but there is definetely people better to do that.

I just feel there is no way Okafor is good unless you revolve a whole offense around him, like we said earlier. And that offense will not ever be a winner, Okafor is not that good. Thats why Danny Ainge wouldnt trade a 3 overall for him.. Just my two cents

If Noel was a lock down post defender this would be better debate. Dude gets bullyed under the hoop. He's not gobert or whiteside. Yall really want to pay him 20 mil a year to be a backup? He's made it clear that he's center and that's the position he wants to play, so why would he even want to resign with us?

We also have other players(holmes and grant (lead the team in blocks)) that replicate what he does and they both shoot better.

But if trade jah who's scoring 20 points a game?

Missed the point I know Tyson is champion playing with Dirk, however he was on several teams before and after where they exited 1st and 2nd round. That's why I said a defensive but struggles offensively big needs to be on a roster that doesn't need scoring in the post just put backs and breaks. Example when Ben Wallace went to the Bulls they weren't really contenders him being really did nothing for them. It's all about fit and the situation. The Sixers aren't even mediocre yet lol so Noel now nor Jah are going to make the Sixers a playoff team at this point. I'm against overpaying for him in free agency next year.
