A stranger is just someone you haven't met and yes the way perceive you can have an effect on you.
If someone appears to have money or appears to be dating a dime, I'm more likely to take him seriously. That's just human nature. Why do you think people dress up or go to the gym, or spend time getting crisp. Its because they want to look good to the world ie strangers.
