One guy I was friends with is a Mason and suffered a compound/complete fracture in his right femur and he was bedridden for months; now, almost 3 years later, he isn't even 100%....

that's just a discouraging mentality.

you could die in a car crash, plane crash, random act of violence, etc etc... get money and don't worry about every what if. do the job well you'll be fine.
