depends on the location. the average construction worker earns up to 30-35 k with benefits. carpenters earns up 40k + benefits, electricians earns up to 50k + benefits, cost estimators earns up to 60k + benefits, plumbers earns up to 50 k + benefits, and the manager earns up to 80k + benefits. real shyt i might look into construction trades in the near future. i love to work with my hands.

you should look into breh. my uncle and cousin are both electricians and they're making bread.

No offense but a computer scientist/engineer >>>><a tech.

A tech can fix shot but an engineer can fix and build a New computer. A computer scientist engineer can do a tech's job but a tech can't do his.

And to this thread the medical field is where the cake at.

Alot of suggestions but no one sharing that food :feedme:

Yea go to the union rep and ask about the recruitment a lot of times they recuit certain times out the year I tried to get into the plumber appertinceship here n Ohio my dads a plumber through the union

It's not hard to sign up and stuff but you have to test into the program before you get a interview

The test consist of a hands on part where you demonstrate tool usage where you have to loosen a bolt and a nut from a side of this plate with two adjustable wrenches they have set up idk the name I'll try to get a picture of it

And take that bolt and nut that you got done loosening and attach it to the other side and tighten it down

There's like 9 bolts n nuts in total and 3 different sizes and it's timed

After there's a 2 part test I forget what the material is called but it's like taking the asvab it's a timed test 2

After your test depending how you do you'll get a letter tell you how you did if you did well for the interview then usually your good

If you don't do well you have to wait another year to take the test and I believe it cost like 60 dollars they have a book also that can help you study for the test

But there a lot of perks with being in the union a lot

I'm trying to crack into it now man. It's not easy at first , but once your foot is in the door money starts rolling in.
This what im hoping. I am already hacking away at debt, but it would be dope to find something where I could live super cheaply while raking in dough
for 2 years and earning a degree online or something. Two years of modest, uninterrupted income could have my 30s starting off right:banderas:

Seriously thinking about copping the remaining credits for HVAC at my local community college starting this fall.

 @ all of this

1. An Engineer can not fix and build to the extent or expertise of a Tech

There's Engineers who build cars and trucks. Go in any business. Look at the people in the shop who maintain them and make sure they are safe and running smoothly. Bet you by golly wow they are Techs

Engineers don't necessarily "fix". The correct term is construct. They build and design newer products when something is outdated. They rarely do physical maintenance. Technicians do that, they fix and also build

2. A Scientist and an Engineer are two different things. LOL @ you not knowing the difference :pachaha:

Techs can always advance and improve.. and everybody is always gonna need techs...

On top of that usually the job they have has some type of training program or opportunities to advance... It's the main reason I'm taking a job 150k less than another job right now really.. I can work my way up through a company while making bank and still work on my computer science degree

And actually, the Medical TECH field is where the bank is at. Met an old head on my flight to Miami who put me on to that...

And Cyber security/hacking is where the real real bank is at... No degree required

Been saying the same thing to my cousin but he won't listen. He 10 years out of high school doing the same routine. Gonna be working at Toys R Us making nothing for the rest of his life. At least he gets discounts on Christmas toys for the kids lolz.
You have to understand some people are just lazy. It's plain and simple. Or well lets say not ambitious whatsoever. I mean at least he is working. :manny:
