The Pacers do...its a few other teams with max cap space and it seems as if some things are starting to become assumed like:

KD- warriors or knicks
KAWHAI- Raptors or Clippers
KlaY- staying with Warriors
Kyrie- Nets
Kemba- Hornets
D Russ- who will toss him a max?
Jimmy- 76ers
Vucevic- Magic Kings Mavs
Harris - Nets or King
Middleton- staying with Bucks
Cousins- wide open
Jordan- Knicks if KD signs

Trades:
Anthony Davis- Lakers/Knicks/Pelicans
Capela- Celtics?

But I personally think a Kyrie/Harris lineup is potentially better than a Kyrie/Russell lineup so Russell may be ripe for the taking...im thinking my Cavs may be able to use JR Smiths contract in order to at least move up in the draft from 26 or to get a future pick by helping a team clearly 10-14 million in cap so that they can go after a free agent this offseason or for a team to clear cap and go after someone next offseason.

Also I think the Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Rockets, Blazers, Clippers are teams that almost have to make some type of move this off season. It may or may not happen but Im assuming they will be active.

Btw even if somehow KD is out all season Im still signing him to the max especially if im the Knicks could potentially help them out long term for example if they select RJ and keep him they arent forced to trade for AD for example...they can secure another draft pick next season or make a trade for an established player since it looks like they are currently out on Kyrie.

Agreed, I think that's a safe bet. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded JR Smith to take on salary and get a 1st this year from a team like the Thunder. A Dennis Schroder/Thunder 1s(2 years left) for Jr Smith or Thunder 1st/Patrick Patterson/Andre Roberson(1 year left) for JR Smith deal works salary wise.

It’s crazy how Anthony Davis’s value has been reduced to Darius Garland and Ingram on a soon to be overpaid contract. Might as well have shut up and left quietly cuz he wouldn’t be doing NO much of a favor.

:russ: Honestly The Pelicans may just keep him

Jigga with the Roley and the Vest
And it shouldn’t.

2 good years of KD on the back end could be their window of opportunity

Whatever happens im cool with.

Going into the offseason, all i wanted was shore up the 4 spot and another wing off the bench that can create and score. All these rumors etc is whatever to me.
Team is in good shape regardless the direction we go in even if we sign no big names cause i know marks will make smart signings as always.

I really felt some type of way when I saw that the Grizzlies hired some random dude I never heard of and I don't even recall them interviewing messina and if they did Udoka I forgot why weren't they able to close the deal on a head coaching gig.

I've seen stories where people say Messina "doesn't interview well". That dude has interviewed for every head coaching opening since 2014 and never closes the deal. He was starting to wax poetic about wanting to go home to Europe as well.

I wonder if Ime leaves though if he knows Messina leaves cause that would have made Ime lead assistant...the same job he got with Philly now.

Despite murmurs that Kevin Durant was angling to leave the Golden State Warriors as a free agent this summer, the team reportedly intended to offer the two-time Finals MVP a long-term extension while allowing him to leave the team at any point during the contract, a source told The Athletic's Frank Isola.

Whether that is still the Warriors' plan in the wake of Durant's injury in Game 5 remains to be seen. Team personnel apparently believethe 30-year-old suffered a torn right Achilles tendon, a severe and potentially career-shortening injury that would effectively wipe out Durant's 2019-20 season.

The Warriors' reported offer to Durant would have included "the understanding that if he wanted to leave at any point during his contract the team would grant him that wish," as Isola phrases it, but it's not clear how that would work.

ADVERTISING
The current collective bargaining agreement dictates that NBA contracts can only contain one player-option year, according to Larry c00n's NBA Salary Cap FAQ. Beyond that specific contract structure, Durant could become a free agent by agreeing to have the remainder of his deal bought out by the Warriors for nothing, but there is no CBA framework to enforce a handshake agreement regarding an indefinite, rolling early-termination option.

Durant currently has a player option for the 2019-20 season valued at $31.5 million. If he declines that option, he is eligible to re-sign with the Warriors for up to $219 million over five years, which would secure his services through the 2023-24 campaign - his age-35 season.

I thith im going to fukk around and may actually be right...Tobias and Kyrie to the Nets with D Russell going elsewhere...the question is where will Russell end up going.

My scandalous ass would be right in front of Russell's location with a max contract ready for his signature as soon as free agency begins...Forcing the nets hand...I'm thinking Kyrie/Tobias along with the current Nets roster and potentially another trade could actually look very competitive.

Potential destinations for Russell I was wondering can Philly toss him a max along with Jimmy if they renounce Tobias and the other free agents? Also could the Suns clear the needed cap space?

Philly:
C:Joel
PF:Ben
SF:Jimmy
SG:MLE
PG:Russell (nah never mind Jimmy would probably dislike Russell also)

Suns:
C:Ayton
PF: Warren? Or trade down and get Brandon Clarke?
SF:Oubre
SG: Booker
PG: russell
I actually think Russell is a much better fit next to them than Harris, actually think Russell fits better with Ben and Embiid because he works mostly in the midrange and three point line. They could just bring back Redikk and sign Bojan Bogdanvic that would be perfect. I wonder if they can do a sign and trade for each player.
