I'm a huge believer in chemistry and watching how the Nets played, signing Kyrie would be a mistake. Dude seemed fun in Cleveland but looked like a chemistry killer in Boston. I'd keep DLo and focus on other needs.
To comment on the JR Smith contract, I really think we need to try and package that with Love and take back bad money and get picks. I wonder if Boston would bite on it if they strike out. They have 3 first rounders, hell we will take two. Or the rumored OKC deal for Adams and their first would work for me as well. The Pacers do...its a few other teams with max cap space and it seems as if some things are starting to become assumed like:
KD- warriors or knicks
KAWHAI- Raptors or Clippers
KlaY- staying with Warriors
Kyrie- Nets
Kemba- Hornets
D Russ- who will toss him a max?
Jimmy- 76ers
Vucevic- Magic Kings Mavs
Harris - Nets or King
Middleton- staying with Bucks
Cousins- wide open
Jordan- Knicks if KD signs
Trades:
Anthony Davis- Lakers/Knicks/Pelicans
Capela- Celtics?
But I personally think a Kyrie/Harris lineup is potentially better than a Kyrie/Russell lineup so Russell may be ripe for the taking...im thinking my Cavs may be able to use JR Smiths contract in order to at least move up in the draft from 26 or to get a future pick by helping a team clearly 10-14 million in cap so that they can go after a free agent this offseason or for a team to clear cap and go after someone next offseason.
Also I think the Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Rockets, Blazers, Clippers are teams that almost have to make some type of move this off season. It may or may not happen but Im assuming they will be active.
Btw even if somehow KD is out all season Im still signing him to the max especially if im the Knicks could potentially help them out long term for example if they select RJ and keep him they arent forced to trade for AD for example...they can secure another draft pick next season or make a trade for an established player since it looks like they are currently out on Kyrie.
I think cousins stays in golden state on a cheap deal. Hes only 28 so he can spare one more year to prove to gms hes worthy of a max
Possibly Indiana? They have around $40 mil in cap space right?

KD was my dream scenario but D-Lo + Harris/Randle always made the most sense. Both guys check off all the boxes we need
No thanks to Randle..yeah hes a big body but he doesnt fit defensively on how they like to have their bigs switch..plus hes gonna want some money and years
fukk NBA twitter for a minute, can we talk about when's the time to take it to Ainge and Popovich/Buford for how shyt turned out? They're supposed to be the smartest ones in the room this aint supposed to happen.
Pop wanted to be sassy and got pennies on the dollar. The dollar's about to a title in a few days while Spurs apparently don't want Derozan anymore. Basically Kawhi was traded for Poetl and the 29th pick, how is this not the worst trade in NBA history? At least OKC got Adams and a few years of Kevin Martin.
We've been hearing about the Celtics come up for 3 years since the KD meeting. Then it changed to Kyrie/AD, now they're looking at trading for Conley/Capela. What happened to all these assets and treasure chests they had they wouldn't miss on.
When an injured star player goes public(his group) and says he wants out, your not gonna get even half of what your supposed to get..
Then he threatened to sit out..
Pop should have called the bluff, but I guess the situation was so stressful, they just took what they could..

I'm not rolling. Magic panicked so bad he had his "godfather" offer on the table aka everything the Pels were going to get in February, scared as shyt he wasn't getting anyone to lure LeBron. Wasn't until Bron spoke through the media he was coming regardless that Earvin fell back, but the chance was there and you still could've negotiated Magic around to getting most of that offer.
fukk storylines, uncles, and how you feel about whoever you're dealing with. This is business and you need to have a product for fans, why take being worse off just so the Lakers don't get their way. Trading long term success for short term gratification is Knicks like not Spurs.
Murray/White
Forbes/Walker
Ingram
Aldridge/Kuzma
Zubac
Is what you could've had plus future picks, that's decent enough. Of course none of this matters now though![]()
