Without Kemba they’re damn near a luxury tax team for a squad that’s gonna win 15 games and then pick 5th. At least Kemba gives you a reason to still care. In the long run they’ll lose more money letting Kemba go and trying to convince anyone in that area to watch their games. Imagine being in Charlotte and watching a commercial talking about “come watch PJ Washington, Miles Bridges and the Charlotte Hornets! Tickets still available!” The biggest attraction that team will have for a minimum 2 years is their owner. I get not wanting to spend the luxury tax but then that’s some shyt MJ and Mitch shoulda thought of before they paid Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, etc.

Until they can draft like they wanna win and not try to put the best squad that would still lose to Overseas Elite in The Basketball Tournament, shyt won’t change.
It ain't like the team has crazy fan interest or anything as is. Even with a loss in fan interest, will they lose as much business as the Kemba contract would generate? They need to tear it down and hope to bring in someone that excites the fan base. It's time to tear it down. Fans are more sophisticated now and can understand team taking short term losses for long term gain.

All this money just to spend it on JR and Carmelo :mjlol:

NO max player wants to play with Lebron besides the beta that’s there with him already. People think Kawhi is about to give up his best player in the league title to play next to a guy who accepts zero blame for his failures :mjlol:
Bron is only a factor for a year or two.

Would Kawhi rather spend the next 5 years of his prime next to anthony Davis or siakim:ohhh:

Opposed to maxing kemba walker and never getting out the 1st round :usure: tanking is the better option, you aint winning nothin with kemba walker taking up 30-35% of your cap in charlotte

hornets could get a replacement in the 2020 draft which is deep with pg's
You really think MJ would ever draft LaMelo?

And God knows I hope Cole Anthony kills it at UNC, but I’m not throwing seasons away over him.

And if he knew he wasn’t gonna pay Kemba what he’s gonna command, why waste time drafting PJ Washington? Might as well draft Doumbouya and actually reboot your entire player development system around him.

So the lakers literally only have bron and AD now?
Someone help me out here, if they sign another max guy, who’s the other 13 on the roster? Is it just two exemption guys and a bunch of minimum contracts?

Ballmer must’ve paid the media a fortune. This has been an amazing look into the human psyche seeing how people have eaten this up. It’s a lot of sheep in this world. Got brehs thinking the clippers are the Spurs or some shyt...... :pachaha:
So everything that's happened with the Lakers is Ballmer paying the media? You guys have benefited from getting all the media hype and headlines for decades. You're the darlings of the league whether its a championship team or a team that hasn't made the post season in 6-7 years. Its the same media you've benefited from for the past 40 years but now suddenly its your enemy cause of some tweets that's not in your favor??? Now the media is saying you guys are favored to win it all with LeBron who's almost half the player he used to be and AD who's great but is a walking injury waiting to happen, plus you have no bench to speak of as of right now. But yet the media is saying yall favored to win it all just like that-- so Ballmer has nothing to do with that part of the media praise right? So which one is it breh/LwO.. Is is "Black girl lost or shorty owes you for ice" :gucci:

Yes. Given how they lost their team the first time due to lack of interest and an owner they couldn’t stand, that’s not something they should wanna risk.

There’s short term losses and then there’s what they’re looking at. The player with the most upside remaining on that team right now is Malik Monk and nobody even wants to acknowledge that they thought he was gonna be a problem. The league should just make their games free on League Pass.

I think the better option is suck and take the chance on getting a high pick than continuing with that wakk treadmill team they've been for years built around kemba walker :yeshrug:

Funny thing is if the cap stays as is, we're still 1-2 mil short of even having enough space to sign both guys.

So are we gonna make 1 more move, or is 1 of em gonna take less than the max to come here :jbhmm:

Napier/Graham get released and someone like Musa gets traded. I’m pretty sure that’ll be enough to free up 2 max spots.

Losing in the first round >>>>>>>>>>>>> drafting bums and kicking the can down the road for 5 years under the guise of “rebuilding”. Despite popular coli belief there is value in having a playoff team that’s not a contender

What amateurish and unprofessional journalism lol. Spend a week calling someone and an organization incompetent over shyt that's not even finalized brehs, embellish stories and have Bobby Marks waste everyone's time with fake cap scenarios brehs, sell your soul to the Clippers brehs, make millions advertising the team to the moon that you spent so much air time bashing brehs.

Cycle continues.
