If I'm Masai, you convince Kawhi to resign because of this reason. Teams got weaker in the East. He don't even need to sign the max.Go with a 2 year with 1 year opt out if he wants to leave after the opportunity to repeat.

Why would a player with an injury history do that. At this point it's clearly LA or TO. Kawhi on LAL is closer to a title than TO next season. That & he gets a long term deal in case of injury, he not KD. If he tear an Achilles teams not gone be as willing to wait.
