A woman got raped? She shouldn't of worn that outfit and shouldn't of done that thing...
A black person got brutalized or killed by police? Should of complied with that officer.

where they cross-over and clap boards
On another thread someone on the west coast mentioned that most cities(Reno, SF) ignore them, while @SourPowerStraws mentioned that new york puts them in a building AND THEN ignores them. He seemed to be describing high-rise shelters. I hand never thought of it that way.:ohhh:

Or puts them on a bus and sends them to NC :francis:

Man, woman, and child
Bruh it's people who like the freedom.
I talked to many homeless cats who told me they like not being tied down to anything. They living the life of 0 responsibility, they can wander and don't have to answer to anybody, play by their own rules.
And I was like I get it :ehh:
My job is right near a homeless shelter and there is still dozens of them living on the street RIGHT NEAR the shelter
:heh:

1)white America is so racist they are against the type of socialism that could fix this. They'll give trillions to corporations, but can't create low income housing. Even if it was some shyt like BOXABL, some factory produced tiny home type of shyt.
2)too many americans have a "i got mine, you should be able to just copy me" mindset. People don't understand how goddamn perfect shyt has to go for some people to be even middle class in America. Like no arrests, perfect credit, perfect job, perfect health, perfect timing on kids, perfect throughout school, no natural disaster, never have your car stolen, etc...
3)some people actually don't want to help the homeless because they like knowing there is a class of people below them. :francis:

My job too but their complaint is the homeless shelter is too restrictive. You have to be in by a certain time, can't come and go randomly, no weapons allowed etc. and God knows when you're homeless and in the street a lot you might need some form of protection

In high COL areas, the focus really should be on moving them to low COL areas. It's gonna be hard as hell for a broke, homeless person to get on their feet in expensive places like New York or SF, but maybe not so hard in Cincinnati or Chattanooga. Give them a bus ticket, and a few grand for first and last months rent in a new, cheaper town. If they are homeless, it's not like they likely have a bunch of family or friends they will miss, or who will miss them.

We have a way, but we would rather buy cruise missiles to turn brown people in 3rd world countries into skeletons.
If there's anything this pandemic has exposed...it's how much spending the military does that doesn't benefit us.
So much of that money could of helped to alleviate the negative effects of poverty, homelessness, hunger, climate change...etc.
You're amazed that late stage capitalism has no interest in fixing homelessness.

Critical difference.

Late capitalism has no interest in fixing homelessness.
It does have an interest in putting a $750,000 condo in your hood right across from public housing.
It does have an interest in marketing your hood as "up and coming" and "hip and trendy"
It does have an interest in making sure the minimum wage stays at $7.25 an hour for ten years...but your rent goes up every year you re-sign your lease.

Also, alot of homeless cats want a place to do drugs and have sex. You can't do that in a shelter.
Also, it's not a good look if you're looking for jobs and you have the address of a homeless shelter on your resume or job application as "place of residence".
