For the most part are all of those rationalizations are untrue, thin, and mysogynist, covering up the true reasons for prostitution...which are, in my opinion about 90% of the time related to loneliness insecurity/domination & control issues, and obviously sexual arousal.
As far as paying for p*ssy = dating, there are degrees of truth to that, and if you are a type that spends or tricks solely to have meaningless sex with women you don't even like beyond the purely sexual aspects, (trophy) or a wealthy elite, who treats women as accessories, and nothing more, then that is an accurate comparison.
Ideally, dating and spending time is about MUCH more then then the sex, you don't spend money, time, or energy in 'bad faith' solely to have sex with a women, you spend it because you enjoy THEM. The sex is merely the expression of both's attraction, not something to be extracted from the other for a fee. But, thats an ideal, and of course, most of us have done a version of this, and thats fine. If one chooses to spend their lives in the company of sex workers they WILL be miserable people, one way or another.
I was at an upscale, old money hotel in San Diego, the Hotel Del, the other night. I grab some dinner at 1500 Ocean, sit at the bar, there is a blatant hooker/old man couple at the end of the bar, and I was honestly disgusted. She was so stupid, and he so simpish and pathetic, and they were so obvious, I wanted to say something. She had the midwest/white trash accent with implants, and a blatant misconception of how adult women dress.....It repulsed me on a number of levels.
Some people just like the convenience of it and can afford it. Let them cook.
