is Seth Rollins the only person from NXT to make it really big?

What surprises me most is how many people not considered a massive deal in NXT go on to be superstars/higher-profile on the main show and vice versa.

Finn Balor was consistently over and won some things but he never reached the heights he did in NXT. Now he's back.

Alexa Bliss did little to nothing of note in NXT. She's one of the most accomplished and important women on the main shows (given how only three of them are important at a time).

There's a ton of examples.

Kinda depends on your definition of "star". Most people who say that would consider only the Hogan's, Austin's and Rock's the actual stars.

Taking the already established indy talent, its Big E, Charlotte, Roman, Bray, Bliss etc.

But OVW has built tons of stars with the Morrison, Lesnar, Shelton, Orton, Miz, Cena, Batista etc.

So no they absolutely can build stars. They just cut their legs off now

They’re on television being watched by millions of viewers per week, in video games, have action figures, selling t-shirts with their names and logos on them etc. they’re stars

Not everyone is gonna be The Rock or Hulk Hogan and transcend celebrity..

However, being a Kofi Kingston that millions of children in countries around the world idolize is just fine. Literal dying children's last wishes are to meet these dudes.

Wrestling itself in total isn’t popular enough to spawn someone of that Hogan-esque celebrity stature at the moment. They’d need to branch out, which is exactly what John Cena is doing.

Daniel Bryan didnt create the Yes chant but had people doing it in various sports. They cut that off by having him heel out and say no instead.

Sasha was the most anticipated callup of the "Womens Revolution". Praised in NXT for her matches and commitment to the gimmick. Was passed over for anything blonde, white and mediocre.

They made ONE right call by giving Kofi the belt (which had to be heavily suggested by Bryan first) and proceeded to kill his title reign with a 5 second loss.

Its their own fault they dont have a mainstream star and theres no debating it. Wrestling didnt just become popular, it happened when the wrestlers were allowed to just do their thing.

90% of them were already poppin before signing to the WWE.

outside of the majority of the women's division, most of these people aren't WWE stars.

the prior era was the one where they mostly built the organization around homegrowns, and it was the dark ages, until it was saved by outsiders like cm punk & bryan Danielson. and now we're here.

gotta disagree with you on this one.

that list is relatively weak.

you dudes will literally argue anything

Daniel Bryan is a star. Heel or face. Retired or competing... Kofi Kingston is a star and was LONG before he sniffed the main event. He's been selling more merch than fukking Brock Lesnar for fukks sake, for years.. along with his tag partners, who are also stars.

kids, literally on their DEATH BEDS, make dying wishes to meet these dudes in person fam.. like...

Momentum on WRESTLING TV SHOW they compete on may have been cut away once the company decided to give the ball to someone else, but that's literally besides the point. They are stars and travel the world as stars. Wrestling isn't popular like say an NBA, an NFL or other mediums of entertainment. It just isn't. Not in this day and age. Expecting wins and loses to propel any of these dudes to Hulk Hogan stardom is ridiculous. However, in the space they exist in, they are stars regardless of whether they're winning or losing.

If you cant see that and you're too caught up in whether they're being "booked" correctly, we literally have nothing else to discuss
