:patrice: Think about it....

Large, global protest movements (Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, Gay Rights, Anti-Trump, MeToo, Never Again)

Polarization in politics

Race riots in many cities (Ferguson, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Charlotte)

Political riots in general (Chicago, Anaheim, Portland, Washington DC, Berkeley, Charlottesville, Sacramento, St. Louis)

Rising crime rates

A new Cold War between Russia and the United States

People questioning the government and reality itself)

Major laws passed like the legalization of gay marriage, marijuana, and others

A revival in black consciousness

Rise of far-right populism in the government that lead to the election of a conservative president after a relatively liberal one.

Bernie Sanders being similar to Robert F Kennedy
Hillary Clinton being Herbert Humphrey
Trump is Nixon (but way,way worse)

2016 enough said (which is just like 1968, enough said)

A cultural renaissance in music, books, movies, TV shows, and cartoons.

shyt, this student protestor in 1969 can fit in well in 2018

A revival in black consciousness

You know what's weird. All my life I was the type of nikka who went to the barber shop every 2 weeks to get a fresh fade. Then in 2015, I randomly started growing out an afro. Never really grew my hair out before. Now I alternate between a mini and full afro.

My sister also started going natural lately after relaxing her hair her entire life. I was legit shocked a few years ago when I saw her natural hair for the first time in my life.

It's weird how we are all kinda doing this all at the same time.

RIGHT. I SIT WHERE I PLEASE ON THE BUS. RANDOM WHITE PEOPLE HOLD THE DOOR FOR ME AND CALL ME SIR. I DON'T WORRY ABOUT WAKING UP TO A BURNING CROSS IN MY YARD.

WE GOT IT GOOD COMPARED TO THE 60'S.
