He'd definitely be a lot lower on my favorite list, but just can't deny what he's done as the no.1 guy for so long

A lot of it is forced though. When was the last time you've seen a face as divisive among fans as him? Kids like him but we all know how easily kids are swayed, adults not so much. I will say, that from time to time he gets busy when he wants.

Over who in my top 5?

Stunning Steve was just average in the WCW.

And he's Lucky the the million dollar man gave him that push right when he came to the WWF.

Stunning Steve was a helluva worker and had great feuds with some of the best in history. I'd put him over flair from a versatility standpoint and warrior because of longevity again just my opinion

Adults love to hate Cena, it's not like he gets a Big Show response. He makes people react, one way or the other

:ehh: true but ask why people love to hate him? Because he's been force fed to us doing the same stuff since he stopped rocking jerseys. Now his whole thing is being the underdog and still finding a way to lose. I might be pulling this out of my ass but the last important match I remember him even winning was against the rock and who didn't think he'd win that one?

He's not over Flair, no way.......Flair was such an icon in the 80's.

Maybe over Warrior....But Stone Cold has nothing in his career that can top Wrestlemania 6.

I'm sorry i can't put any of those dudes over the people in my top 5 i listed.
Fine that's your opinion but you're talkin 3 of the goats. Of course there are people out there who have them in their top 5 and there would be nothin even remotely odd about it.

They are 3 of the Goats i won't deny that which is why i put them in the thread title.

But my top 5 are the OG icons, it's not that i like them better personally.

You can't tell me that stone cold isn't a bigger wrestling icon than warrior or savage. obviously they are both huge, HUGE legends but neither of those guys have contributed as much to the world of pro wrestling as Austin did. His rise to stardom helped propel a second golden age.

there's only so many people that could claim to be actual archetypes and Austin is one of those people. The archetypical anti-hero of pro wrestling.

I'm not sure if Stone Cold didn't get the rednecks hype drinking beer in the ring he would be an Icon like Macho Man or Warrior.

Stunning Steve was good but without his reinvention to Stone Cold he's not top 10.
