Is there a way for us to get paid for promoting products?

So this thread, If you use Spotify, but not premium, you lost. is basically an advertising for Spotify. So my question is if we're going that far to promote a product why not get paid for it? If you can, then how? In the world of capitalism that we live in, this should be a "not all that crazy question". Right?

You need a following/audience first.
Once different brands recognize your audience you'll be in position to negotiate sponsorships and advertising.
The problem is, most people don't have the dedication to put out quality content consistently for long enough time to be recognized.
Too many people are focused on the quick pay day and are unwilling to invest the sweat equity necessary in creating a following.

Pitch to companies and provide the data/analytics of TheColi audience.

Companies that want to sell to a black demographic will be interested and will pay for ads.

Once you build a platform... the first thing you're supposed to do is monetize your audience. This is basic shyt.

I have my own platform & I sell ad space as a form of monetization - among other things.

Also when you have an audience... You can sell/promote your own shyt.

Its all about having an audience
