I'm sorry to say, but shyt like this is exactly why African nations can't have a presence on the world stage.

Regardless of anyone's reservations about being gay, every other respectable place to live on the planet has moved on and gotten with the times on this one.
But of course black folks would always rather hold on to failed and archaic traditions then consider new, and progressive ideas that may challenge past views and upbringing.

No different than how we're the number one "beat your kids" traditionalists when it comes on to parenting where all other people have moved on from the 19th century and figured out better ways to raise kids, which we mock. We the only ones that want to emulate our grandparents and be archaic and ignorant out of some sense of moral superiority, and then act confused that we are producing the most troubled kids, prone to anger, always getting caught up in senseless and trivial crimes.

Regardless of your reservations, being gay or lesbian is a civil and human right that should be protected by governments. Period. Anything else is backwards thinking that will never be respected by the rest of the world. Who wants to live somewhere where basic human rights are NOT protected? We got to do better on the world stage and progress as a society.

It's sad to say that if most African leaders had their way and were given the opportunity to run an economically powerful nation, they would prefer a religious zealot ideologue dictator like most failed nations, rather than a free, prosperous, and respectable democracy. We can't aspire to be on the world stage if we refuse to let go of failed and archaic views of society and at least be a nation that protects basic human rights. Point blank.

people on here don't realize they've just sanctioned atrocities and witch hunts against other black people.

Every society should be able to have its own moral laws but you got these outside people pushing their agendas, and very soon you gonna see members of the LGHDTV apply pressure and try to put them on the summer jam screen :francis:

Exactly. Just like us to grandstand over homosexuals to overcompensate and distract from real issues. People starving and can't find a job all over this country, but Ugandas greatesr executive priority is putting a stop to gay sex. The rest of the free world is just laughing at these pompous, backwards and failed religious societies like in Africa and the Middle east.

If African leaders could just get their heads out the fukking Bible, think for themselves for one moment, and take just half the energy they have in church and actually put it towards creating jobs and building a sustainable population and economy instead...maybe we'd be on our way to finally having a modern and respectable government we can call our own on the world stage. To compete, both economically and culturally with the rest of the world, including in the field of human rights. But of course, black folks would rather worry about making it to heaven, and being beside white Jesus of the British crown for eternity.

Just sick of us, always insisting on being archaic, ignorant people.

And just to disclaim no I'm not some hashtag, proud to be an American nikka, and I don't look down on Africans. This is an honest critique as a pan-African thinker.

Nikka, Ugandans don't care about your pro-bussy screeds on thecoli.

Your opinion is really naive and ignorant.

It is the power of a state that allows him to be on the world stage, not gay rights or western values. China, Russia, Japan, and many Asian countries are
homophobic, and don't have gay rights.

Yoweri Museveni, the dictator of Uganda, he is an ally of the west and was helped by america to achieve his position.

A piece of advice do not project your emotions or your personal opinion on black people (terms that do not mean anything in Africa, with thousands of ethnic groups) to analyze an internal situation in a foreign country. And respectable democracy is a buzzworld.

The majority of African leaders are atheists and simply use religion to control the people. Of course, if you know anything about modern African history, you will know that many Afican leaders are supported by Western countries.

The self-proclaimed free world has no problem supporting the worst dictatorships to get what they want, the West cares little about gays in Uganda or Africa.

Stop having a western-centric view and get educated on how geopolitics work and learn some modern Afican history.

I mean, we all know it is wrong but no one likes to be lectured. We may be poor, but we are no where as morally bankrupt as most Western Nations. After all, just a few decades ago black people weren't allowed to vote in the United States.

Ya'll are straight. Don't listen to these degenerates. Keep doing the right thing.

Didn't they find about $13 trillion worth of gold in Uganda not too long ago.

GOD blesses those that honor HIM
