My dad is a gun owner, as are a number of other Black people I know.
They purchased their guns legally. I may own a few firearms in the future, and considering I don't have felonies on my record and don't need to purchase automatic weapons, gun control measures won't affect me.

They all have firearms.
They're all Black.
I lived on base in Virginia for a year or so of my childhood.
Black people were armed.

Yeah, all you need is an 6-8 hour "training" session, a recent photo, and call up the sheriff for a competency test. Pay $50 and you have the license. Takes like a week. Here in Ohio you can join the BFA and the NRA for like $100 more.
Not saying I support it, but its not at all a difficult process, its harder to get a drivers license.
