I expect the government to legislate gun control just like I expect them to legislate anything. Civilization is made up of laws. Murder is illegal and I expect it to be... but I dont expect the government to 'save' anybody from murder. If someone really wants to murder you they're gonna try to do it but they're more likely to try it if nothing deters them, hence murder laws. Its just a fact that laws impact empirical influence.

If you really want or need a gun, by all means get one. That doesn't mean it should be easy.
