I liked meet the parents, it was a cool track....

But I agree with thread starter premise... when you compare it to shyt like:

-The way I am, Lose yourself, Stan, Cleaning out my closet
-Slippin, Let me fly (or give me death) ... ton of other X songs I can't think of right now
-lifes a bytch... ton of other nas songs I cant think of right now

When you compare Meet the parents to these guys, aint shyt classic about it

It's funny I was gonna make a thread like this the other day.... saying how people hate on em cus of his content (talking bout his inner demons, shyt that make other people relate to him and show he's still HUMAN even though he's a hundred millionaire)...

Jay on the other hand rubs his fame / fortune in ppl's faces (not that i personally give a fukk), and LITERALLY begs people to acknowledge him as the goat (what more can I say).. and people want to say he's goat:wow:

I would've executed this thread a tad better (still might make it)... but good minds think alike....

Meet the Parents was garbage. shyt was so contrived and forced...no profound subtlety. Tries too hard, banal, and predictable. Sounds like some shyt a whiteboy would write as a class project for his Berkley University hip-hop course.

Bro, meet the parents was an ok track..... but that still don't change the fact Eminem / DMX / Nas deep songs shyt ON HIM.. give him the song is ok....

Same way Danny Green is an OK player in the NBA (we don't gotta call em Brian Scalabrenee)... he still dont hold a candle to Lebron:jawalrus:

thread starter... you need to edit your original post so it doesn't look like another random hate thread...

this is groundbreaking shyt.... Pac, Biggie, Nas, Eminem, DMX all conscious songs make Jay look like childs play....

The more days go by, the more evidence is presented PROVING this nikka is so far from the "goat" its not even funny:banderas:

So you're saying Jay's most enduring musical legacy will be providing the theme music for the triumph of a titan of corporate America with a net worth of $1.1 billion that fleeces taxpayers (http://www.yonkerstribune.com/2009/...o-yankees-to-yield-22-new-permanent-jobs.html) to increase their profits? :ohhh:
