Its a non issue. This shyt happens in HS all the time, whether its sports or just general academics. My mom altered a lease so I could get into the neighboring better HS instead of the one in my district. Even at the professional level. All kinds of cops, firefighters, teachers live outside the city when they are required by law not to. This all comes down to jealously and the business of this league

I did it in HS as well. So did many of my friends so I'm well aware of this practice. Technically, I should have sat out a year of HS ball because I lived with moms outside of the district while pops lived like a mile from the HS I attended so I used his address.

I kinda mentioned this in another post, but Little league on the southside is broken up into 4 or 5 districts.
JRW is centered in a more "middle class" part of the southside and is the most organized and strongest of them. It's always been kind of a thing where kids who were really good wanted to play with JRW because it was the best and most competitive black Little league.
I mean when I was a shorty and lived like 1 mile outside the boundary, I technically should have joined Roseland LL, but in the 80's it was a joke, plus my dads friend coached in JRW so I used a diff address and played over there. I never had big league aspirations, just a kid playing a game, and I was far from the only one who's parents did the same. .

Everyone knows this happens in youth sports leagues, it's why the National board blew it off at first. The coaches from Evergreen park wouldn't drop it tho and this is how we end up here.

Sounds like very normal youth sports shyt that happens every where.

But when you're whooping up on these white bread suburbans, its really only a matter of time before they start looking to poke holes. My nephew is a 8 year old beast in soccer and he gets the same shyt...

Yep. I grew up like a couple blocks away from Morgan Park High school. Goin up da hill n crossin dem tracks into Mt. Greenwood always had a nikka uneasy as a youngin.

True story, my youth league football team was so good that they limited the number of carries I could get in a game to 3 against teams with a losing record and 5 against teams with a winning record unless we were behind because I literally scored just about every time I touched the ball. Then when that didn't stop us they found out that I lived in Hoover, al but was playing for the black squad in Bessemer which is literally closer to my home than the Hoover squad was. They made us play for Hoover or be declared ineligible and if I was older I'd have just sat out but I wanted to play so bad that I switched at the beginning of the next season. Jameis Winston played for that Bessemer team with my younger brother.
