Japan Airlines flight JL516, an Airbus A350 has collided with a Coast Guard aircraft on the runway at Tokyo-Haneda Airport. The aircraft is on fire with rescue operations underway.

Japan's broadcaster reports that about 400 people, including passengers and crew members, were on board, but that they were all able to evacuate. It remained unclear whether anyone was injured.

According to the Japan Coast Guard, one of its aircraft from its Haneda base collided with the A350, which was flying from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. The coast guard plane had six people on board and one escaped with an injury, but the status of the other five was unknown

After both an earth quake and an airplane crash I was hoping JAL tickets would be cheaper. But these prices aren't budging. Damn it, I have vacation time soon.:why:
