when are we either getting a hip hop hall of fame and/or renaming the Rock and Roll HOF to the Music Hall of Fame?

They're opening a hip hop hall of fame museum in Mt Vernon I think in 2023 and much like the Rock n Roll one in Cleveland Im hoping it means an annual ceremony

Hip Hop deserves its own instead of this validating to people outside our culture one, because ultimatley only a select few will get into the Rock n Roll one, many artists in the rock genre or genres outside take decades to get in even after their eligbility has been around for years....it just feels like a we're appealing to an aging white hipster institute.

yea, hip hop is so rich that we deserve our own hall. you got underground or regional rappers, you got dj's, producers, executives/lables, overseas and female mc's, plus all the early founders & mc's, etc, who mean a lot to the genre yet would never make the cut for the RnR HOF

Realistically most of the legendary rock acts are old or dead so within a decade its going to be mostly rappers getting inducted.
