For the 2nd time in three seasons, Denver and Phoenix meet in the Western Conference Semifinals!

In 2021, the newly minted NBA MVP received the honor in front of the Denver faithful but his Nuggets, without their point guard who went wild in the Orlando Bubble and injured, were swept by a brilliant Chris Paul and the rising Suns on their way to the NBA Finals. The Nuggets are now whole in these playoffs and Jamal Murray is back with big performances.

Now here in 2023, the Suns feature an MVP of their own and one who's got 2 straight Finals MVPs at that. Kevin Durant's arrival to Phoenix has made a good team into a championship contender once again with the Larry O'Brien trophy seemingly gettable in this wide open Western Conference. Devin Booker was fantastic in Round 1 and the Suns were able to overcome their depth questions by gentlemen sweeping the short-handed Clippers.

These teams tied the season series 2-2 and Jokic did miss the only game that Kevin Durant was able to play.

Many are picking the lower seeded Suns while others buy into Denver being the more deeper team.

Let's find out!

Nuggets in 6 they got better depth and are in cruising with fully healthy squad.

AG guarding Durant
KCP/Bruce Brown on Booker

Jokic will expose how flawed Ayton is on defense and if he gets into foul trouble they have no legit back up big man. Won't be shocked if Cliff Paul gets injured in this series.

Logic tells me the Nuggets win due to depth alone. This is a series akin to some of the series the Spurs used to have where they wasn't the most talented team but they just kept chipping away at teams with their bench and winning in the end.

Denver in 6.

Durant gonna bail Gordon out by not attacking the basket and keeping him honest, imo. Won't get into foul trouble like he was when Towns got aggressive.

I think KCP/Brown will do a better job on Booker than what the Clippers were throwing at him.

Monty not gonna get away with playing Booker/Durant 44+ mpg this series

I think Nuggets take this...Suns didn't impress me defensively in the last series and while Ayton has the tools to give Jokic problems, he seemed to be in foul trouble every game against the Clippers.
