Yea, Roman may have coordinated his way out of San Fran.

I went in on the team in the Seahawks thread but it's baffling, how flat we are on offense. I think the main culprits are Crabtree and Vernon Davis. Also Kaepernick may not be the savior we thought him to be, he's not a great pocket QB, and the coaches have essentially told home to not scramble if he can avoid it it seems.

It's always so easy to blame the OC, but watch the game and Kaep just didn't pull the right trigger time and time again.

He played stupidly and turned the ball over.

That's not the OC, if he never throws that horrible INT to Sherman early in the game, it's a different ball game at the end.

Don't put INT's on OC's

:what:

I'm not talking about this 1 game. Kaep was fukking pathetic yesterday.

But hey, let's keep making him throw the ball when he clearly doesn't have it. Let's keep sending long developing plays. That's gonna help.

Yesterday was on everybody. But the whole season the offense has looked like ass and that hasn't been on Kaep or the players.

Can't believe you are actually defending Roman by just picking yesterday's game :heh:

edit: nevermind, just read your other post and we agree. don't know what you are arguing to be honest.

Unless Harbs wants to go/seriously has beef with the FO or locker room, I don't know why we're so decided on him being canned. Sorry, but four years, three of which were huge successes and we want to throw in the towel after what's being a mediocre...not bad...season? I'm a fan of stability, dude is a good coach, he needs to move past roman tho.

I knew I wasn't the only one that thought like this. If Baalke/York really want him gone, then yeah, he's gone. But I don't see Harbs just leaving over one disappointing season.

Hell

This is why the changes need to start with Roman first. We haven't seen the best of Kap because our system is not only limiting him, but fukking him up. He had a horrendous game, but he's way too talented to give up on without at least having a system that accentuates his strengths.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who’s had his bouts with mediocrity, looked amazing Thursday. But he’s in a system that’s built for his skills.

Wilson’s always moving, much of it by design — rollouts, bootlegs, scrambles with planned outlets. The Seahawks’ offense regularly produced wide-open receivers and opened throws in Wilson’s wheelhouse. He looks confident, like he knows exactly what’s going on.

Wilson is a great example why you shouldn’t tell a running QB not to run. His legs are a special weapon and they are used wisely, aptly.

The 49ers, on the other hand, have strategically taken away Kaepernick’s weapon. He’s a different type of runner than the elusive, Wilson. Still, either by design or lack of creativity, they 49ers have forced Kaepernick to become the pocket passer he isn’t.

“He wanted to throw the ball more than he wanted to run,” Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett said of Kaepernick. “He had some lanes but there is probably a lot of pressure on him to be able to be a passing quarterback. … We just played off what he did.”

Imagine if we did what the Seahawks did with Russ...Kap would be a fukking pro bowl qb, i'm sure of it.

I have hard time believing Harbs would throw the defense under the bus. That's just crazy.

And another thing I really thought Kap was going to play well tonight. Yet we saw the same guy that is wildly inconsistent.

Tonight was the first game in Kaepernick era that me wonder is Kap the guy? :patrice:

If it took you to tonight to realize that, then you have not been watching him enough. I starting wondering that since his play in that NFC championship game where he made a poor decision in the clutch and gave Seattle that game. Imagine if we had a quarterback like Rodgers, Luck, and Rothlisberger with the weapons we have a WR. They gave Kaep that contract too early without carefully monitoring his progress on becoming a better passer in the pocket. What is this guy doing in the off-season to become a better quarterback? This team the past two years has always had to rely too much on the defense and special teams to help them put points on the board, but I knew this year was going too be different because of the injuries. When is Kaep going to be held accountable for his poor throwing mechanics and ability to not take what the defense gives him? Tony Romo went into Seattle and was able to throw on Seattle effectively with less weapons at the Wr position.

Roman just doesnt uses the offense to its strength. You can power with Gore but how about running Hyde out of the gun and running the read as well like he did at Ohio St. How about we stop doing 5 to 7 step drops every pass play. Wheres the screen game. We did we stop using the pistol and the read. Even just to mix things up a little.

Exactly what I been saying. I have 0 faith in the coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. Have no idea how to exploit other defenses weaknesses. No idea how to maximize the talent on the field. Change that before thinking about changing the qb.

This is a dumb post. Romo is a 10 year vet. Wtf did breess do? Humiliated twice in the playoffs. What did Peyton do? It is about the damn game plan and players making plays including the qb.

You mention romo when our qb has demolished his postseason performances. I don't get posts like this.

Kaep is always held accountable are you kidding? The guy gets a lot of blame and sometimes too much.
