yeah, and the o-line has been very suspect this season. that's probably the number 1 on field culprit of our on-field offensive problems.

Yep, it definitely is a big part of the problem.

Early in the year it was real bad, and that had a lot to do with Kaep sucking, it's been better lately and he hasn't improved though

3 things have to happen for the niners to make the playoffs

They have to win out the rest of the schedule

Az has to fall apart

Detroit has to fall apart

There's no way this team can win in Seattle but az looks to be falling apart.

Obviously the chances are slim and none at this point

I have Detroit finish 10-6 anyways, so I think they're right where they're supposed to be. Theoretically, we can finish 10-6 and still make the playoffs (If we beat Seattle and they also lose to Philly).

This offense has been figured out, Sherman was bragging about it. They know something just like the rams did a couple of years ago

Yup. There's a tell. They know exactly what we're doing and yet the coaching staff is so stubborn they refuse to do shyt differently. The same exact shyt.

Seems like they need to break out the "Playoff" playbook now.

there is no damn tell.
our coaching insists on kaep passing against the seattle, a team that he is utterly terrible passing against. hes not the only one, but its dumb to keep thinking in order to get better at something youre terrible at you need to fail this many times.

the one time we had patience to get the run game working was the time we got a win against seattle.

its time to go back to basics and coddle him when we play seattle. both of those picks to sherm were really bad and were completely and utterly unnecessary

kaeps strengths are running and intermediate to deep passing. and according to pff, "All of his completions came on targets within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage going 0 for 10 with 2 interceptions beyond that mark and a -5.4 passing grade on deep and intermediate targets"

we need to play a super conservative game when going against seattle. instead they do the same shyt that got the broncos killed in the SB.

The offense sucked against many teams, it hasn't been "figured" out, it wasn't much in the first place.

Truth is, and it's painfully obvious, the running game isn't there this year. This offense was always built from the run, now there is no solid running game, so there is no offense.

There is no mystical secret. Sherman isn't some wise sage

Eh, even though it hasn't been stellar, we haven't committed at all to the run game this season. The game against the Seahawks was just another example of giving up on it for no reason whatsoever. I don't see enough evidence to say the run game isn't there because we abandon it ASAP and start throwing the ball with long ass developing plays that 7/10 times end up incomplete, being a sack or Kaep scrambling way too soon.

What pisses me off is that we can be 1 score away and after 2 failed run plays we just throw it to the bushes and start throwing the ball waaaay too much :why:

first pick occured when score was 0-0 and Gore was getting around 5 yards per carry

Breh, other teams have even pointed it out. There is a tell in addition to poor playcalling, poor line and Kaep's inconsistent play. I have no idea why they come out pass heavy against Seattle. I don't get why any team would do that to be honest.

But forget Seattle, we have been craptacular against other squads. The Bears game I'm going to think about for a while.

I just dont see a tell when watching film. we just outsmart ourselves with all the formations and receivers in motion and play changing. outsmart ourself in playcalling. and bunch of players arent executing, whether its dropped passes, bad passes, bad routes, bad blocking, you name it.

Tell or not, I also think we have to stop giving Kaep so many responsibilities at the line. It seems to me most of the times he sees something and calls and audible (or confirms the call they gave him) the play goes nowhere or is a complete bust :ld:

"Lucky (or is it lookie?) Lucky Lucky!" - 3 yds gain.

"Kill Kill Kill" - 2 yds to the left or a sack.

:heh:

I'm glad that since week 4 or 5 they added the "Hurry!" when the clock is winding down though. We haven't had a delay of game for a while :ehh:
