fwiw I read two articles suggesting Gruden and Holmgren are interested in coaching the 49ers

Gruden would be a disaster if you're looking for somebody to play to Kap's strengths. He's strictly a WCO coach. He damn near ruined Randall in Philly.

Holmgren is another strictly WCO coach. I dunno if he'd be willing to create around Kap's strengths or just jettison him first chance he gets.

Best bet is to get a somebody's OC that's willing to play around Kap's strengths and also run the ball.

What's up with lack of urgency by the offense in the 4th quarter? It's been a problem all season long. From the Bears to Seahawks game long methodical drives where they come away with 0 points

consider the source never heard of the site. Tbh I'm not a Gruden fan but I'd rather have him then some yes man or puppet

Gruden article

Homgren article. I trust this site a lot more so I can believe the report

We've addressed the DL the last 2 years. No need to have it that high on the priorities list

I think Tank and Dial are the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go DL maybe use a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Ray Mac is 31, of course smith might retire and TJE is a fa.

Holmgren actually intrigues me. Gruden not as much. At the end of the day we'll probably see a Adam Gase type be hired.

Not having Frank or Hyde hurt us. Hyde was running well, but without those 2 there was no real threat of a run, so the play action wasn't working, so we basically had to take what the defense was giving us.

We just haven't been in it the whole season, it was basically lost from the get go. The behind the scenes shyt leeched onto the field.

I really like Gruden but yeah, he doesn't appear to be a match with Kap's skillset. Maybe he's willing to adapt, I dunno. But like @thacole said, I don't want a yes man or puppet either. But seeing as that's basically why Harbaugh is on the way out, it looks like that's what we're gonna get.

The Yay
after this game we're officially 5th worst offense in terms of scoring

the only teams scoring less points than us are jets, jags, titans and raiders
none of these teams have a receiving core like ours, olines like ours, or RBs like ours...and two have rookie QBs starting

all of these teams are 2-12 besides jets, who are 3-11

our defense deserves a fukking purple heart for keeping this team at .500 :mjcry:

If we get an offensive minded coach... I hope its one that respects defense, cuz I've seen too many that love having a high powered O and get in the mindset of fukk D, We'll outscore you!

Gruden and Holmgrem though? wow?

I'm gonna have to :snooze: my niner fandom if/when they get rid of Harbs, easily a move that could place us right back in 2006 form :mjcry:

It has to be a terrible relatioship if you're going to get rid of a HC that took you to 3 straight championship games ad a SB after not having a winning record in close to a decade. Whoever comes in better get results ASAP.

Things could get very dark.

Man, the more i'm thinking about what has happened, the more i'm inclined to blame Jed York. He seems like a bytch boy who couldn't steer a ship with 2 dominant personalities. It wouldn't surprise me if he started to feel some type of way about Harbaugh and his old school ways. They seem like 2 different cats, and Jed wanted more shine for the success of the franchise. Instead of sitting both Baalke and Harbaugh down and being an impartial arbitrator, he just went with the dude he likes more:mjcry:

I'd have to agree with you. But you think Baalke or Harbs gonna respect what that dude has to say? I'd laugh him off if he said anything to me.

If they bring in any of those dudes, we starting from square one at QB. We'll be drafting one and trading Kaep.
