Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I got the bad news today, DirecTV told me they can't get a signal from my house.

Scrambling for sollutions, looks like i`ll definitely be able to catch 8 games through regular cable

Week 2 NBC Bears
Week 6 Rams MNF
Week 7 Broncos SNF
Week 11 NYG i`ll be there
Week 13 Thanksgiving
Week 15 Seattle, only 4pm game on fox, i`m sure that`ll be national
Week 16 Chargers on a Saturday on NFLN

And i`m thinking Week 1 will be played local in NY as Giants are SNF

The rest are a bunch of games that could air local due to no NYJ/G games playing at the time, only one that is no chance is vs. KC as NYJ is on same time.

Bar it`ll be on the ones i`m outta luck.
there are places on the internet, that show every game of every team, all the time...... for free

Cornerbacks

Chris Culliver - I think he will likely claim the #1 CB spot this year. Unfortunately he was out the whole last season, but this season, he is set to make a return. I think he is going to continue to progress this year as a true #1 corner. He has a big body, is a sure tackler, but he is hit or miss in coverage. I think he hits more than he misses its just that he got exposed in some big games in 2011 and 2012. I expect him to continue to mature and improve this year. Grade: B

Tremaine Brock - Had a break out year last year, He played terrific coverage and was the best cornerback on the team essentially supplanting Carlos Rogers. I expect him come down to earth a little but still be very good, I also expect the pass rush to aid in him getting some interceptions as well. Grade: B

Dontae Johnson - Is a draft steal (Jersey stand up), we picked him up in the 4th round of this draft and he is having an excellent camp. expect him to perhaps end up as the starting knickel back just as way of getting him snaps. But either way it seems he has a bright future on the team, I'm glad we got him, he's the type of defensive back that we need against the bigger and stronger receivers of the modern NFL. He can tackle and cover, ummm why did he fall so far, he is really a 1st round talent. Grade: B-

Jimmie Ward - Our 1st round draft pick. He seems a little raw, but I think he has tremendous upside. He can play both Cornerback and Safety, but I think in the long term I think he will be our free safety, but he will likely get some snaps at nickel too. But it seems he's getting shown up by Dontai Johnson a little, but no matter I think he'll contribute one way or another. Grade: C+

Perrish Cox - He's been on our team a few years now and has proven himself a capable veteran. He is willing to contribute whatever and whenever he can and I like that in a player. While he's a former fifth round pick, theres value in what he brings to the team and that's keep the bottom from falling out. I think we should figure a long term contract after this year. Grade: C

Chris Cook - We picked him up from the Vikings as a way of just shoring up our depth. I think he is better fit in our defensive system then he was in Minny. I expect him to be a contributor though his inability to cover makes me hope he never gets close to a starting position. But I think he'll be good on special teams, Grade: C

Darryl Morris - We picked him up in the 7th round of the draft. I think he has to make the 53 man roster this year, otherwise we have to cut him, I think that is a mistake, we cut young talent last year (Marcus Cooper) to our chagrin, now he's a starting corner for the Chiefs, while the guy we kept Nnamdi Asumogha might out of the NFL in a year or two. Plus the kid is a burner speedwise. Grade: D

Keith Reaser - He'll be in the practice squad for the following season. Grade: INC.

Safety

Eric Reid - I think he has the potential to be a star safety. I know he missed a few key tackles in some games, but in all honesty, he looked like a Veteran. He's already better than Dashon Goldson and he can only improve. He will be a stalwart of our defensive backs moving forward. Also he should have been defensive rookie if the year last year. Grade: A

Antoine Bethea - I'm a little weirded out by this pickup. We're basically paying the same amount that we were paying Donte Whitner, and we downgraded in coverage which means that we must have a lot of confidence in the remaining backs coverage ability. But like Whitner, he is a very good hitter, if anything it shows how little Vic Fangio values coverage from a safety standpoint. That being said, he only, going to be on the team 2 years max. Grade: B-

Craig Dahl - Bad at safety, but good at special teams. Plus he's probably a hard working and positive influence. Grade: C-

CJ Spillman - Has not been able to make an impact as a safety but has managed to keep his job in special teams. It may not be enough to guarantee a roster spot though. Then again he's resilient like a cockroach. Grade: D+

Bubba Ventrone- He's a special teams guy, that's it. Grade: D

James McCray: He's a rookie and liked by Vic Fangio, I expect him to be a practice squad guy, maybe replacing Ventrone or Spillman down the line in a year or two. Grade: F

DJ Campell - I'm curious about this guy word on the street was he started out pretty solid when he was on Carolina and then slid down the depth chart the following season. I think in a year or two he can sneak onto the roster as a special teamer, we are thin at safety and he has as good a shot as any. Even though his chances are a dogs hair. Grade: F

In conclusion, this is a raw group of defensive backs, Tremaine Brock is one of the best of the bunch and he is a veteran at the age of 26. There is a lot of potential but we must be patient, they are not going to be great right away, they are gonna struggle and get burned at times, but its better we stay the course as the raw meat gets seasoned, they will be a force to be reckoned with. As of now though, they are our weakest unit on the team. I'm actually ok with our starters, but god help us if more than a few get hurt. Grade: C+

Crabs returned, too...

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree wasn’t the only 49ers player to return to practice on Thursday after missing time with an injury.

He wasn’t even close. The 49ers had a slew of players healthy enough to resume their training camp work or, in the case of defensive end Justin Smith, make their first appearance of the summer. Smith has been recovering from shoulder surgery and announced his return by winning a battle on the line and dropping running back Carlos Hyde in the backfield.

Also back to work was running back LaMichael James, who was thought to be out for the preseason after dislocating his elbow. James was in a non-contact jersey, but fielded punts and caught passes during 11-on-11 drills in his first practice since late July.

Defensive tackles Ray McDonald and Ian Williams joined Smith on the defensive line while wide receiver Brandon Lloyd made it two wideouts to reintegrate into the offensive mix. Tight end Vance McDonald and cornerbackTramaine Brock rounded out the group of the newly healthy in Santa Clara, leaving the 49ers pretty close to full strength for the first time in a while.

http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2014/08/15/crabtree-on-his-2013-return-i-wasnt-me/

Crabtree spoke for the first time this summer and said he was a diminished wide receiver when he came back from a torn Achilles last year.
Crabtree weighed about 230 pounds in December, at least 15 pounds more than he currently weighs.

“Six months after (tearing my) Achilles I just jumped in the game,” Crabtree said. “That was just for my team. Whatever coach needed from me. They said guys were struggling, so whatever I could bring to the table.”

“I was fast enough to be on the field, but I wasn’t me,” Crabtree said. “You guys have been here long enough. I’m going on my sixth year. You know when I’m at my best. You know when I’m not looking right.”
