Damn never actually thought he’d leave TDE. It feels like there’s been untapped potential with that label for YEARS. Never got a Black Hippy album. No third Ab Soul album. School Boy Q been MIA as long as Kendrick it feels like. SZA, one of the most popular R&B acts of today can’t get a release date even with a hit single.




But I hardly think Kendrick is retiring. He just signed a new publishing deal a few years ago. So that Pglang company he’s working on will be his new imprint?

Sounds like he’s leaving TDE. Good. It’s like no one on the label is actively dropping music. He’s big enough to go independent and still do numbers.

He'll probably still be on Interscope/Aftermath but they'll distribute PGLang as a label/media company for him.
