I personally don't think so, could be a smoke screen that maybe they really want Okafor and want the T-Wolves to take Towns. More likely, Chad Ford talked with someone from the Lakers staff and is blowing something up out of proportion because they said they like Mudiay and think he's going to be a great player. Just doesn't make sense with the 6'5" PG they already have, who already has proven he has a high floor by hanging with the elite PGs in the league as a rookie.

Unless they think Clarkson will be their SG going forward.

There's a reason they were cheering that they got the second pick, they know Okafor and Towns would be going #1 and #2.

Exactly.... dude's getting hyped off averaging 18/6/5 in CHINA :mjlol:... Will Bynum just avg 23ppg out there and Marbury still winning mvps out there

dont forget...will was shooting 38% from the field and 30% from 3 and avg 12ppg his senior year at Georgia Tech :scusthov:

I wish Mudiay would have went to SMU...I'm telling you he would have shown his true colors. Im thinking 15ppg below 40% from the field below..below 40% from 3 and DEF below 60% from the FT line.

mudiay is a taller selby. Don't be fooled by HS Mixtapes. We learned from Austin Rivers :win:

Nothing....and I mean nothing about mudiay's game reminds you of Westbrook. The tyreke comparison is spot on. Like tyreke he plays smaller than his size the majority of the time.

We don't know how Mudiay nor Russell will pan out, dudes in here thinking it's impossible for Mudiay to be ahead of Russell on some people boards it's not dude is a 6'5 PG with tremendous size and athleticism, heading into a league that's becoming dominant by big and athletic PG's,he's def worth the risk.

Regardless of what yall think,Mudiay played pro this year averaged 18,6,5 that's very solid for a 18 year old KID,so what is was in China,do we know for certain that the competition level in China is weaker than the NCAA? No, I bet that year of pro ball will give him an edge on Russell far as handling basketball on a professional level, had Mudiay went to SMU,he'd probably be the clear cut #1 pick, dudes in here talking about he woulda showed his true colors in college, yea possibly being the best freshman in the country:ufdup:
And dont forget Mudiay was rated higher than Russell on every ranking list coming out of HS by a good margin as well.:sas1:

Time will tell tho:sas2:
