Wiz have some nice young talent, about to add a top 3 pick in a strong draft class, and have two star players, that they got for pretty much nothing, waiting to join the team next year. They pulled the trigger on the stars now because the next two drafts are supposed to be pretty weak and neither guy is on a long term deal so if it doesn't work out, they can let Trae walk or flip AD for additional pieces.
