I know I come off as arrogant sometimes but I hit the ground running out of HS because I had my hand in many pots. A little college, a lot of sports, a little art, etc.

You're smart bro, in the long run you're good. You gotta work on networking bro. Everyone can offer you something. For real. Every relationship has to benefit you. If it doesn't you're losing resources you could use on generating more resources.

Be humble in action. I talk that shyt but I'm very humble in how I carry myself. I'm a cook but I'll still roll up my sleeves to run food or do dishes. Most cooks and chefs think it's beneath them. Every industry I'm in I learned from the bottom to the top and they're relative to one another.

Have a flexible plan. Have a specific goal like I want to be the best black cook in west Oakland specializing in alternative diets. But don't only work for one company. Work for every company in that industry in any level that allows you see and interact with people already doing it.

Be patient. Everything takes longer than I expected. Keep your support system close too and keep it small. More people more problems. fukk people. And fukk problems. Be selfish in your personal life and gracious in your professional life.

Be ruthless about your resume. I have a rule that I have to be promoted or get a raise or learn a new skill if I work anywhere. I'm trying to learn how they monetize their product so if there's separation I can generate resources on my own or be employable. Always go up or sideways never back. Even if it hurts.

You have to look successful. Success looks like progress. It doesn't mean wearing a tie or even a collared shirt. Just look clean everyday. Dress like an adult. And be business oriented. Don't associate yourself with people who have sloppy appearances too. That'll hurt your public image and when networking who you're with is equal to who you are.

I like this subject. I knew when i got my first part time job that 9to5 Life wasnt gonna be for me. How can a mf be happy living off 400 hundred a month. Got fired from that job and got another job taking care of Mentally disabled clients. I couldve been the regular $1400(40 hours a week) a month dude but i grinded those 16-18 hour days 6-7 days a week and was bringing in $1800 a month until i got put under a 10 month investigation because somebody said i beat up a client. Lol I thought i was big shyt at that time until i came back off that suspension making $3000+ a month putting in major work working 24-41 hours days. The con to that was at 20 years old i was killing myself working for peanuts growing somebody else shyt when i could be out here doing my own thing. Once my eyes got opened to all the different ways you can paid more in less time doing other things(Real estate,Hvac,Roofing,Flooring,Property management etc) I havent looked back since. At the end of the day I realized time is the most valuable thing on earth so dont waste it working at walmart making $10 in one hour. Lol
