Most jobs that require degrees. I've had a few and I don't have a degree I'm just hella smart and my resume is crazy town. It takes me a little longer to pick up job specific skills but once I do I rise up the ranks. It's kind of funny because I almost fell for the lie I have to have a degree to get a professional job.

First off most jobs never even check to see if it's true.

Second if they demand it, you usually end up doing shyt that doesn't require it anyway

Third, they gonna train your ass anyway on what they want done



I'm in a NOC and been here 3 years. Never stepped foot in college. Making 65k, one of the best workers, no degree at all. No certs

They just happened to hire any damn body up in there. 3 got fired when we changed parent companies. They had no degrees or certs either but did it for 2 years.

I was kept cause I knew the work. Not cause I had a degree or it was even needed. Unless you doing some type of engineering work or something like that, you pretty much should be able to coast with some training

Nah getting paid 40-80k less than a Financial Trader or Software Dev, having to put up with Parents and kids that could be violent, gangs and drugs, barely being able to pay rent on your salary - That whole summer vacation thing is gone too. A lot of them have to work summer school because the salary from teaching ain't enough and some even have to tutor after school in addition to prep work for their existing classes. It's a lot more tough than it looks breh

I do now. My car exists I've posted plenty picture of it and anything else I've claimed on here. I choose to bike because I used to run long distances and I get anxious if I don't burn off the extra energy. I also love being fit as fukk.

Well that's because youre one of the few that understands that experience >>> degree.

Most companies prefer both, which is why they'll hire you at a lower pay than your resume provides but without a degree.... but they KNOW you're a valuable asset.

You have more negotiation of your contract. And if you get your shyt together, they preach loyalty to a company knowing that you've outgrown that position months ago... They'll also bend to your will somewhat

Im in a similar position now. I have a few certs, 10+ years experience but if they keep me comfortable (working from home whenever i want for example) they will allow a lot if bullshyt I personally think i do.

I took less money just to work from home... But i dont need the money atm. So its a mutual understanding. If I really wanted to work on some serious shyt I would've took my original job.

The only thing is that i feel as if i'm not doing anything to my potential... But its easy so im trying to figure out if i want the easy, cozy job or if i want to go overseas and do some crazy shyt
