There's an argument to be made that it's close to impossible to have been an actual authentic day one Drake fan and not be disgusted by the whole ghostwriting thing. Facts.

Considering the verses he got written weren't even lyrical Drake and just some attempted swag single street, I don't care too much personally. When I find out a verse I considered Drake sound / rap style maybe I'll look at him funny.

But even if worse comes to worse Drake is the HIT guy. He was and will never be god MC lane like a Kendrick is in my opinion.

Plus although I've always listened and checked for Drake music I was only truly impressed from Take Care

That's you moving goal posts. I followed his career since late 2007 after discovering him on Limewire. And supported him for years till this whole thing happened, but really fell off sometime after NWTS.

And I was under the impression he wrote everything. And that was a part of the deal to me. I guess if you want to avoid truths and do the whole mental gymnastics thing then you can go the whole "lyrical Drake" vs "street Drake" angle. But it's one artist at the end of the day. One person. I'd be just as disgusted if Hov didn't write one of his street singles as I would be if I found it he didn't write Change Clothes.

This is one guy. All this "he's the hit guy" "as long as it sounds good" is some new era Stan shyt.

Fact is, if you were listening from the jump, you'd know that while he was never this lyrical prodigy. His pen has always been sharp. And prior to 2015 it was his greatest skillset. Just to say that his pen is his own. Just having all that in the air now ruins the listening experience for me.

A little while ago it was assumed he wrote everything, now at the very least we can say we don't know what he wrote. Which defeats the purpose of even listening to such a personal artist.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
"Im rich so I win" is such a stupid nikka argument are dudes still rating that angle?

he also cried in court lol FOH big man:childplease:
Is it stupid?

You breaking your neck for a check every week and smashing who you smashing

This nikka writes raps. And is triple your worth and smashing a woman 18 times your worth and you attempt to look down on him cause someone made a better rap song

And then it's an L to lie in court to stay out of jail? I guess OJ took a loss for not saying "yea I killed them motherfukkers, I'm a gangsta"

Y'all really got your priorities fukked up

:patrice:

Meek has got that hood complex going on.

He got some self worth issues from growing up poor and he's got it in his head that money will make up for that.

Meek doesn't seem to realize that, he's reached a point where, simply, being rich isn't the answer to all of his problems.
And what's his problems :jbhmm:

Y'all in here acting like he suffering from depression and shyt :russ:

Fix his problems. The nikka writes rhyming words and gets paid for it. Besides being a knucklehead (wrote raps that they violated him for. Let the state that they violated for) he don't even have legal problems. He got a lady. A job. Money. Friends. shyt

fukk is the problem

I didn't know it was assumed he wrote "everything". I assume you mean raps because it's been know Drake has had a few songs written for him for a while. Kanye wrote find your love for example.

Obviously it would be more respect for Drake if he wrote every single one of his raps and everything was original thoughts but because that's not the case doesn't mean I can lie to myself that I still don't enjoy the songs.

So, with Drake I can understand you getting mad if I'm putting him in all time MCs list or something but I'm not doing that and you'll never see any history of me doing that. I just enjoy his music and ability to make BANGERS consistently.

My favourite MC is currently Kendrick, I hold him to a different standard than drake but also won't necessarily expect hits and bangers from him.

Exactly.
So obvious to see that as well

If Drake did that to Meek, everyone would be calling foul :sas2:

2 wrongs don't make a right. And I hate Drake. Flashing money is lame and tacky, any way you cut it.
